Speaking of recruiting, the Virginia Tech game next year just got a little tougher:
New Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente officially signed his first player Wednesday: junior college transfer quarterback Jerod Evans. The No. 1 JUCO dual-threat QB will enroll in January and is set to compete with Brenden Motley and Dwayne Lawson to take over the starting job. Quarterback has been a position filled with inconsistency over the last four seasons at Virginia Tech; Fuente has built his rep working with quarterbacks. So hopes are high there will be improvement here next season.
