I can't wait for these next few weeks of college football. Just to watch Penn State go down in flames. The most overhyped team in the nation is soon to be exposed.

Do you think A&M is more of a prestigious destination than PSU? Would the money be better? Big Ten vs SEC HCing position. Must be nice.
Franklin's a PA guy with a 6 year contract extension so that won't happen, but living in central PA sure is irritating right about now. Chirp,chirp,chirp and haven't beaten a soul nor played a pulse!
The one I don't get is Wisconsin (and I like them). Every year, they start with three or four glorified scrimmages, play in the weak west division and get into the top 10, only to be smoked in the Big 10 championship game.

I keep waiting for the PSU bubble to burst....and waiting.....and waiting. It hasn't happened yet. It was supposed to happen in last years Big Ten CG. Didn't happen. USC was supposed to wipe the floor with them in the Rose Bowl. Turned out to be a great game.
I absolutely hate PSU - but they have some good players and they are VERY well coached. I don't think they are the third best team in the country, but they are a very good team.

If you think that then you really just started watching football not very long ago.
Penn State will do whatever is needed to have a top coach run its program. They're football first and foremost.
Not even in the most distant of memories but the 80's and early 90's three schools set the bar in college football.

Honestly you can go back two decades prior for Penn State.
Say what you want about Paterno but the guy could coach football. Obviously toward the end his faculties weren't as sharp but at one time he was the best in the business. Especially how to tackle ahd play defense.

Michigan has a very talented defense and Harbaugh won't be phased by the "white out".... Michigan's offense does enough to put 23 pts on the board for the win.... but even if they beat Michigan I predict a 20 point loss to OSU

Franklin wasn't close to any of that. They were going to sink or swim with him five years minimum.
And to try and draw comparisons between Franklin and Kelly is silly. Franklin never had his team playing embarrassing football. Not even close.
Huge difference between the two and their salary reflects that.
