agree only because SC D is one of the worst we’ve played with half their starters out too … we can run simple plays and dominate on O if Rees and Buchner don’t go full moron like they can

Pyne for me was clearly better than Buchner, but also seriously limited. Again, this is the QB situation MF inherited and it is a MAJOR factor in how ND plays. I'm giving MF 2-3 seasons, as not matter how this game goes, the season has been okay for a 1st year coach, given the circumstances.

As I posted earlier, we will see how ND adjusts to what college football has become. Especially in what it will do to improve recruiting at the skill positions.

That's ok because of the situation MF inherited. I agree Marshall and Stanford are on him, can't be any other way. But the team fought through those losses, impressing in games like Clemson and North Carolina.

I posted how this game is a context all its own with transfers, injuries, going pro, and a vastly different QB situation. ND will have off season to decide how it will adapt to the new normal in college football. If it doesn't, this is the kind of season we can expect.

I'll still root for the Irish. I've long accepted that the administration doesn't give football a free pass like it did up to the end of the Holtz tenure.
