Pyne for me was clearly better than Buchner, but also seriously limited. Again, this is the QB situation MF inherited and it is a MAJOR factor in how ND plays. I'm giving MF 2-3 seasons, as not matter how this game goes, the season has been okay for a 1st year coach, given the circumstances.
As I posted earlier, we will see how ND adjusts to what college football has become. Especially in what it will do to improve recruiting at the skill positions.

Early on when coan was playing awful and Buchner was good, they modified offense for coach and we were much better
Neither one are good enough to win a championship but Buchner's injury early in the season was a blessing in disguise. No way we're 8-4 with Buchner. Dude couldn't even beat Marshall.
