Another week for the 9-0 ND football team was completed with the 31-17 victory at No. 19 North Carolina. Everyone in the two deep was available.

Really love this current team, but let’s not get crazy yet.. the 88 team beat:

#9 michigan
#1 Miami
#2 USC ( on the road)
#3 West. Virginia

To compare, it would like ND beating Clemson again, then Bama and then any of these Florida/A&M/Cincinnati

we need to appreciate what that team did.

All of ND's tests from this morning came back clean. Game on (I think). We made it, fellow hoopheads. I'll be at Breslin tonight.

What’re you watching today?

Given the # 2 ranking, current winning streaks and the endless supply of podcasts and social media contributors. The inevitable "ND's best team ever" banter has begun. One has to remember the generational gaps between many of our fellow posters. Assume you probably know this discussion and comparisons were coming at some point.
Have two questions for you to start this off.
1. Would you say this is ND's best team under Brian Kelly/
2. How would you compare this team to the Holtz teams of the early 90's? Those teams were loaded with NFL talent.

Havn't seen him for several games now. Anyone know what his status is ? Doghouse, grades, home-sickness ?

When Brey's teams are old they are good, and I think we are going to be good this year. I am feeling 17-8 or 18-7 against a really tough schedule. Might even do one game better. I think we may have something really good good this year particularly if Wertz become eligible.

Sorry if I missed this but is Lenzy still hurt or is just not getting any run?? I hope the former and he’s back, healthy, and active for the playoff run!

After watching Northwestern's undefeated season go down in flames against Sparty, I decided to switch to hoops. I used my voice response feature and requested "Big Ten Network." The TV responded with "Cartoon Network." It was either my enunciation or the TV made an editorial comment.

What does his future look like? He is Associate HC and his name is rarely mentioned in the "future HC threads". Would he be considered for a potential opening in Ann Arbor?

I think it’s safe to assume there is no away Lea is back next year barring a very substantial raise. So who do you guys think will be our next DC. Elston, Joseph, BVG LOL or other.

The effect of media in sports or otherwise is maddening, and hopefully the playoff isn't affected by it. It seems as though if ND loses in the ACCCG then the Clemson loss doesn't mean a thing for them, and also doesn't mean a thing for ND. Insane. Apparently Lawrence will throw for 700 yards on us instead of 400 and Etienne will run for 250 instead of 28. Just ranting.

Justin has been playing very well all year I believe. We are so deep I don’t think he has been appreciated that much but I think he deserves some credit. Also, wasn’t his brother considered the elite recruit and some people considered him a throw in? Or do I have that backwards? Anyone know how his brother is developing?

Much has been said that Harbaugh, only having 1 year left on his contract, will dramatically impact his recruiting. After today’s loss, their recruiting class is ranked 8th. In addition, Edwards is still looking to attend there next year over ND.
It appears that contract concern is pure nonsense to recruits.
