It’s a minor miracle ND is consistently in the Top 10 or so every year now. The playing field isn’t level and ND has to overcome so many more obstacles than other programs to reach the playoffs. Kelly has probably taken ND as far as he can at this point. ND can’t recruit like Clemson, Bama, Georgia etc.

He should take a real chance at a Championship to close out his career at a place like Texas. Flame away, but you know it’s true. Kelly isn’t the issue.

Overall, thrilled with BK as a coach. However, his entire career when we are down by more than one score in the fourth quarter, he never believes we’ll come back. First we were about to punt before the timeout, then we don’t go for two? Unfreakingreal.

If you're planning to go onside, why not go for 2 to make it a 2 possession game? Obviously it's a long shot, but Kelly might need to brush up on his math again.

Young, inexperienced coaches were out schemed and out coached by more experienced coaches. 27 yards on a screen and not another one called all game. Their refusal to put their most explosive athletes on the field (crafting plays for abilities even if they don't know the playbook) hurt this team. Our qb is an average player who is afraid to do what it takes to be great (throw into tight windows etc...). He has way to many off target throws. A defensive philosophy that allows wide receivers free releases off the line is NOT physical football. We need to step up recruiting in a big time way. Way to many mistakes. Undisciplined teams don't win championships. Does anybody know why Lenzy isn't playing? Is he still injured?

Our offense is. Elite offenses put up 30 and 40 against great teams.

....the head coach the next time Notre Dame makes it to the final four? I think it’s at least 2024, and hopefully this Buchner kid has the skills. But who will be the coach then? And will Buchner stay after BK refuses to play him the first two years?

Sure seems you can tell the outcome of ND's big games under BK in the first few minutes. Bad luck OR Good luck and body language will be easy to read in the first 10 plays.
