We were totally outflanked on the first 2 drives and Bama took full advantage. Covering 2 WR with one CB 10-12yds off the ball and one LB walked halfway out is not going to get it done. We were giving them a free 10-20yds on a simple throw to the sideline. Mac didn’t throw the ball more than 5yds downfield more than once and it was 14-0. Pathetic game plan and no immediate adjustment. What a joke

Watching the game today and the first series of Clemson game... we don't have one WR that could be 3 rd string on their teams.. plus our play calling doesn't throw quick slants maybe because we don't have that caliber of WR, but look at the difference in these offenses and ours.., yes we have stud TE, but won't win against quality teams without a change in offense style and recruiting

Nobody on this site is anything but a huge ND football fan. Have you seen the way this school is being treated? I hope somebody with decision making authority is pissed at this sh*t. Mike Farrell just effing spit in the face of our school and our kids saying Oklahoma (not kidding) would roll us. Bear, the sick maniac on Gameday, made disparaging comments about Our Lady. People who have platforms are goofing all over the team we all root for and care about and the school we all admire. It’s a minor miracle ND is consistently in the Top 10 or so every year now. The playing field isn’t level and ND has to overcome so many more obstacles than other programs to reach the playoffs. Kelly has probably taken ND as far as he can at this point. ND can’t recruit like Clemson, Bama, Georgia etc.

He should take a real chance at a Championship to close out his career at a place like Texas. Flame away, but you know it’s true. Kelly isn’t the issue.

Overall, thrilled with BK as a coach. However, his entire career when we are down by more than one score in the fourth quarter, he never believes we’ll come back. First we were about to punt before the timeout, then we don’t go for two? Unfreakingreal.

If you're planning to go onside, why not go for 2 to make it a 2 possession game? Obviously it's a long shot, but Kelly might need to brush up on his math again.

Young, inexperienced coaches were out schemed and out coached by more experienced coaches. 27 yards on a screen and not another one called all game. Their refusal to put their most explosive athletes on the field (crafting plays for abilities even if they don't know the playbook) hurt this team. Our qb is an average player who is afraid to do what it takes to be great (throw into tight windows etc...). He has way to many off target throws. A defensive philosophy that allows wide receivers free releases off the line is NOT physical football. We need to step up recruiting in a big time way. Way to many mistakes. Undisciplined teams don't win championships. Does anybody know why Lenzy isn't playing? Is he still injured?

Our offense is. Elite offenses put up 30 and 40 against great teams.
