"Golden has legitimate play-making ability and overall explosiveness to the point programs are going to start coveting him on offense (some already are) while his secondary technique continues to develop," Rivals national recruiting analyst
John Garcia Jr. said. "Whether at cornerback or safety at the next level, few in the class bring the flash that Golden does."

"The Goodland, Kan., tight end has moved up to the third-best tight end in 2025 and he could move even higher if he shows out at some national events," Rivals national recruiting director
Adam Gorney said. "The tape is incredible. Cure is all of 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, he's fast and physical and he has awesome hands. Someone with his ability will be able to dominate in rural Kansas but the proof will be in the pudding when he faces some national competition. He should thrive."

"In just 10 games, he registered nearly 1,300 yards of offense and also scored a return touchdown despite being the offensive focal point for Davie (Fla.) Western High," Garcia said. "Howard beat defenses down the field with pure speed but also showcased plenty of ability after the catch as well. Throw in pound-for-pound strength and a competitive edge to him and it makes us like his floor even more. Rivals being the only outlet to consider him a blue-chipper is surprising."
