Cignetti Renews Contract

IU has big money behind the football program. Cig has never had a losing record as a head coach. IU has several underclassmen performing at a high level. Great continuity on the coaching staff. His new package included more money for his staff. The financial impact for the IU community has been substantial. I think it was a smart move. Cig wants this to be his last stop. Why not?
Really? Do you think they put a bid in on Bryce Underwood? And IU's going to be major players in the NIL wars moving forward? Interesting. They're starting small with all these JMU guys. Building the foundation. Then they're going to go after the big fish.

Off to a good start!

Notre Dame Strength of Schedule is # 84

Good luck against those Army Black Knights. You domers must be weally worried about this game.

Purdue beat Indiana St. to open this season. Let's start a pool. How many straight losses will Purdue have against BCS opponents? We are at nine and counting. Do you think Purdue will be able to beat a BCS opponent in 2025? Or are we looking at another 1-11 year next season?

Notre Dame Strength of Schedule is # 84

Texas am will still be ranked if they lose to Texas. Army will be ranked if they win their conference

And also, Georgia Tech and Louisville will have a chance to jump into the rankings

So possibly 4 at the end
Truth be told Army has zero business being ranked given the schedule the Cadets play.

If Army played a full SEC schedule, they finish st best 6-6.

Fighting Kelly’s of LSU

I think they should fire BK at this point. He can take his 60 million buyout, on top of the 30 million he's already earned, and retire, and sit on his pile of money, of 'generational wealth'. Thanks to ND fans, LSU fans have become equally bonkers and almost violently agitated over a three game losing streak. And they can replace their hated 'yankee' coach with someone hailing from south of the Mason Dixon line. Personally, I thought he was doing great. He took a legit dumpster fire program in total disarray, that he inherited from cajun favorite son Ed O., and had them in the SECCG first season. Recruited and developed a Heisman winner, who's probably even better than their beloved Joe Burrow. And was 6-1 this season before an improbable 2nd half comeback loss to A&M, and now the wheels have fallen off a bit, but it's not that god-awful of a crisis, and they stand at 6-4. And of course the bigger blow, losing BU. To a massive NIL deal that LSU wasn't able/going to match, that had absolutely nothing to do with BK himself. But he is the coach, so he does have to bear the blame anyway. He was not able to somehow save the situation, with some last minute in home visit or something. So that's his fault too.

So they should fire him. And just eat the money. And they learned their lesson. Don't hire BK!

Meadows

Mitchell is shockingly kind of slow, or at least plays that way for ND ( i expected much more, he hasn't taken the top off the defense yet)

Collins I thought was going to be a monster, but he's in his own head and struggling

Harrison is coming on strong

Point being, yeah you can get some solid player in the portal, but solid is as good as it gets for ND in the portal at WR. We need to lean on the portal for depth, not starters or game changers. They have to come from recruiting HS just like freeman says, and what we're not doing but maybe one class with Gilbert and Williams (those two, one has to become a stud for ND to be really good moving forward).
I agree w a lot of that.

But we don't throw. And Leonard isn't a guy who's going to facilitate a WR putting up big numbers.

That'll change w Carr.

Williams and Gilbert could end up being big time. And I think Burress too, is going to emerge.

Army - CFP

Well, I have to go to a surprise birthday party at 6 p.m. Saturday, which means I can't watch the game. And that means I'll be peeking at my phone all night long, which means that this game is going to be agonizing, with ND eking out a 24-17 victory or something like that. Before you scoff at me, you should know that I've had to miss more games than I'd care to admit to over the past 20 years, and almost every time, it has come down to the wire. This year, I missed the second half of NIU and the fourth quarter of Louisville.
Call in sick hdk. We need you buddy!

lol. I’m like that too. After 22 years of religiously watching every ND game I possibly could. Family already knows don’t expect me unless you have the Irish on the TV lololol.

Fighting Kelly’s of LSU

Brian Kelly tends to have seasons where he's all in or all out (thinking of some of the up and down seasons during the first half or so of his ND career).

LSU literally has nothing to play for at this point. It wouldn't surprise me if they've collectively mailed it in and LSU has one of those seasons where the bottom just kind of falls out from under it only to return next year refreshed and better than ever.
Wow, you are absolutely clueless. You are getting dumber by the day
