IU Schedule

Indiana is a good team. Well coached too. I feel that the bad weather will neutralize our team speed. I believe the winner will be the tougher team. Expect turnovers. I would feel better if the game was played at a neutral site with better conditions. I expect the game will be a nail biter. The regular season is history.
I've never seen windy, cold conditions benefit of pass first team but there's always a first.

IU Schedule

Good point and their out of conference schedule is very bad, but they still played nine Power 4 opponents and soundly beat everybody but Ohio State and Michigan. That’s the hallmark of a great team. Alabama was 9-3 but lost to a pair of 6-6 teams (granted it was on the road).

I think the Indiana-Ohio State game was closer than the final score, but their next toughest opponent was only 7-5 Michigan. ND played two 8-4 teams but no 10-13 win team like Indiana played. I do think ND played a tougher schedule but not by much.

Just like pretty much every game, it’s going to come down to who executes better and can limit the turnovers and make big plays.

Is #7 Seed That Bad?

Here's the CHALLENGE as I see it.

If ND prevails against IU, then it's Georgia. But then also possibly PSU and OSU to win the title. ND has seldom beaten THREE TEAMS THAT GOOD in ANY ONE SEASON let alone BACK-TO-BACK-TO BACK.

I agree that you have to TAKE ON ALL COMERS to win a title, but, realistically, WHAT ARE THE ODDS of beating that level of competition THREE GOES IN A ROW?

Again, I'm not saying it can't be done. But I can't see ANY WAY that the PROBABILITIES favor it.

To strengthen its chances, ND needs one of the BIGGER DOGS to go down.
The odds of ND doing it are roughly the same as everyone else that doesn’t have a bye. The bye teams have an obvious advantage because they only have to play three games to win it all. Someone has to win it and will have to go through a similar gauntlet.

ND’s chances are very reasonable considering it’s a 12 team tournament. Indiana has “less” talent (still a good team) and the semifinal opponent could potentially be SMU or Boise State who has “less” talent. Georgia has plenty of talent but they’re missing their starting QB.

I think the bottom side of the bracket is definitely easier.

It's the CFP and there shouldn't be any easy path. No back doors.

Now Head Coaches are giving back Money to help the NIL Pot

The NCAA needs to step in and do something about the portal. It's completely insane that nearly all of Marshall's team just opts into the portal after a coach leaves. There are 150 QB's in the portal. There needs to be a cap on transfers that can affect eligibility. This is just out of control right now.
I’m curious if Jalen Milroe or Quinn Ewers will Portal.
