Can Jagusah work his way into the lineup?

What happens with Knapp and Jagsuh next season? If Knapp moves, is it to RT?
No chance. Wagner has been outstanding in my opinion in his first season. Injuries are always unfortunate. That said Jagusah will have to earn his spot wherever that is. The o line room is an embarrassment of riches. Nothing would surprise me next year. Gotta believe you can pencil in Schrauth and Wagner for sure but after that the competition should be hot and heavy. The health of Craig will certainly factor in. My ideal unit would be left to right Lambert, Schrauth, Craig/ Knapp, Jagusah/ Jones, Wagner. Would not surprise me one bit to see one or two guys enter the portal in the spring.

Oklahoma vs Navy

I think Navy would win the SEC, they'd probably be in the playoff right now. It's only because they had to play their killer G5 schedule and of course ND, that's why they're not in the playoff. And of course the spurious SEC bias, when everybody knows they're a shit conference. One of the worst.
Stupid comment. If only BK was coaching OK.....never would have happened, LMFAO

Georgia is going to attempt to run the ball down NDs throat

The thing that sticks in my head from past failures in the post season against Alabama and the very good Clemson teams is our lack of quality depth on the defensive line in particular. Obviously this year, we're thin there to begin with, which makes the idea of us standing toe to toe with a big Georgia offensive line very troubling. I remember watching Alabama push us around most of the last game we played against them. I also recall watching Alabama sub in on the defesive front quite a bit and not seeing a significant drop off.

That to me is one of the biggest things that the SEC power houses have had and we have not. Once you get to this stage of the season, line play is the most important item on the field. Whoever dominates the offensive and defensive lines... wins. We certainly don't have the firepower on offense to turn this into a track meet.

I hope i'm completely wrong and pleasantly surprised, but I see us getting ground down and losing this game by 10 or so.
The track meet scenario would most likely be UNFAVORABLE.

ND might be able to have enough D-DURABILITY, though, to limit Georgia to LONG DRIVES given their own potential issues with an unproven and possibly UNSPECTACULAR QUICK STRIKE QB. In which case, if ND can muster enough offense of its own, it's IN THE GAME and could perhaps force a CRITICAL TURNOVER and/or HAVE THE BALL LAST.

Or it could simply score at the kind of clip it did against Army and USC. Meaning that IT'S DONE THIS BEFORE. But, of course, this is Georgia, meaning ND would almost have to play a flawless game OFFENSIVELY. A kind of OVER THE TOP PERFORMANCE. I'd say it's possible though a lot LESS LIKELY.

Still, even if ND prevails, how does it then GET UP for PSU, a likely winner, and then, should it prevail again, Oregon, OSU or Texas.

And the WHOLE TIME with that GUTTED DL.

We're looking at a TALL ORDER for as long as ND can stay alive.

When thirty (30) plus players

There’s really nothing that can be done about NIL because it was the Supreme Court that made the favorable ruling.

But the NCAA can address and modifythe transfer rule.

Their inaction proves what a bunch of morons they are

They won't take action until it impacts revenue. But the people come and watch. I only see this getting worse.

As I keep repeating on various chats: this actually helps ND. The brand and MF help maintain stability. Making the Irish stronger and more competitive, helping offset the recruiting disadvantage of high academic standards.

I've no sympathy for the other programs suffering opt outs and mass transfers. Victims of their own cynicism. Poetic justice.

Lots of things are wrong with college football. It's a culture of greed. Why be surprised and upset with opt outs?

The players are no more greedy than coaches, the media, colleges, and the NCAA. They all colluded to make for a few dollars more. And to make it about anything but a collegiate student-athlete ideal.

Gotta be honest: this open cynicism is better than under the table corruption that allowed to SEC to dominate for 15 years or so.

Can Jagusah work his way into the lineup?

I know it’s not ideal with the amount of time he’s missed and recovering from an injury, but they were talking about him like he was a future first round pick prior to the start of the season.

Knapp has been solid and has improved a lot, but I was watching these two Georgia guys on YouTube break down our game vs IU and they mentioned Knapps struggles in pass pro. I wasn’t thrilled with the offensive line versus IU. Leonard is so good back there that we haven’t really paid the price for the offensive lines play.

I get the offensive line is a well oiled machine that needs communication and comfortability with one another. I just think about Georgia’s front seven and how big, fast and physical they are. With Spindler out, I wonder if the offensive line has more potential with Jagusah at tackle and maybe moving Knapp inside?

I played defensive back so for any of the o line guys, is the talk about the offensive lines ability to play as a unit overstated? Or is it that important?

Didn't realize Gabe Rubio was bigger than Rylie Mills measurable wise

Rubio is a large man but he’s not much of a pass rush threat. I mentioned this in another thread, but Mills ability to rush from the inside and force throws, while getting in the way of passing lanes, had a lot to do with the overall success of this defence. Many turnovers and missed throws are due to Mills pass rushing ability on the inside.

Mills is a special player and we don’t have anyone who can do what he can. That means Bryce Young needs to step up. RJ Oben can you please do something? Is Brennan Vernon a bust? We have bodies behind Mills but I’m not sure any of them have game breaking potential.
