No thanks. We have great options inside the program.Attract a high-quality quarterback from the portal ?

Yeah, it was a sarcastic comment. The SEC is still the very best conference, and even though Navy beat OU it doesn't seriously suggest that they are not. Navy is a top G5 team while OU is a bit of a mess this year, plus they just experienced a mass of transfers preceding the game while Navy presumably suffered none. So it's not some impossible result, that surely somehow proves that the SEC sucks. For some reason, which we won't get into, the SEC are the avowed enemies on some sort of brutal, primitive level of ND, even though I'm not sure the feeling is terribly mutual. And so any opportunity is taken not simply to glory in their various failures and defeats, but to actively attempt to delegitimize and discredit the SEC in the event of such a defeat.Stupid comment. If only BK was coaching OK.....never would have happened, LMFAO
I thought he left his heart in San FranciscoTony Bennett IMO left Virginia for the same reason.
Attractive for sure, but we aren’t buyers this year unless staff are concerned about Carr’s recovery from surgery.Attract a high-quality quarterback from the portal ?
Who would of ever thought this is what college football would become, and the big winners are the blood sucking lawyers, the big losers are the fan baseTrue. All I am saying is that if these kids coming out of high school want to be paid , and they do, that’s fine. Negotiate a contract with the school you want to go to. Then, stick to whatever deal is signed. These kids are literally jumping from school to school trying to make as much money as they can get. You can’t do that in the NFL.
Let’s say a player gets a 2 million dollar NIL deal to play for LSU. After one year , another team says we can get you 6 million if you come to our school. So the player leaves. I would too. But if you sign a contract stating we can get you ( insert amount) of money , but you must stay for 3 years. No one is forcing the player to sign. But if he does, he has to stand by the contract, no reneging. I think that’s fair. Each individual player can negotiate whatever they can get. Heck , get an agent so you have representation. Whatever the deals is with the school, then that’s the deal until the contract expires.
Very very rare to see an interior guy moved to play tackle, as the demands for length and good feet and quickness at tackle are typically beyond what guards or centers can provide. And as you say, we will likely have two! So much for the criticism of Rudolph for recruiting too many tackles and not enough inside guys! It's a great " problem" to have. For arguments sake let's say Knapp and Jagusah move inside. Heaven forbid you get a season ending injury to one of the starters at tackle. How many teams would have the luxury of having two guys you feel very comfortable with moving outside if need be ? Regardless of who ends up starting in 2025 it's going to be a very good to elite level o line.
You are giving GA way to much credit, and giving ND too little. The track meet scenario would most likely be UNFAVORABLE.
ND might be able to have enough D-DURABILITY, though, to limit Georgia to LONG DRIVES given their own potential issues with an unproven and possibly UNSPECTACULAR QUICK STRIKE QB. In which case, if ND can muster enough offense of its own, it's IN THE GAME and could perhaps force a CRITICAL TURNOVER and/or HAVE THE BALL LAST.
Or it could simply score at the kind of clip it did against Army and USC. Meaning that IT'S DONE THIS BEFORE. But, of course, this is Georgia, meaning ND would almost have to play a flawless game OFFENSIVELY. A kind of OVER THE TOP PERFORMANCE. I'd say it's possible though a lot LESS LIKELY.
Still, even if ND prevails, how does it then GET UP for PSU, a likely winner, and then, should it prevail again, Oregon, OSU or Texas.
And the WHOLE TIME with that GUTTED DL.
We're looking at a TALL ORDER for as long as ND can stay alive.
Very trueUSC had a mass exodus too, and still managed to beat the mighty Texas A&M. Sec sec sec.

Hope Rudolph makes early decisions on our projected starting OL and our portal transfers occur after these become apparent during Spring practice.
coming from a USC fan.Agree.
That said, defeating Ohio St. 13-10 in Columbus this season is kudos to Michigan.
Clemson twiceThe facts are no team has won a title with zero five stars. Heck, I don’t think any team has won a title with less than 5 on their roster. The talent gap is large and important because if you watch the film, you don’t come away thinking Georgia is significantly better.
ND is far and away the more consistent team. Georgia on their A game is the best team in the country and it’s not all that close. Fortunately for ND, that team has rarely showed up this year.

Wagner has been outstanding in my opinion in his first season. Injuries are always unfortunate. That said Jagusah will have to earn his spot wherever that is. The o line room is an embarrassment of riches. Nothing would surprise me next year. Gotta believe you can pencil in Schrauth and Wagner for sure but after that the competition should be hot and heavy. The health of Craig will certainly factor in. My ideal unit would be left to right Lambert, Schrauth, Craig/ Knapp, Jagusah/ Jones, Wagner. Would not surprise me one bit to see one or two guys enter the portal in the spring.
Not an offensive line guy; but no, this importance isn’t overstated. In Basketball, it’s easy to see teams that defend best by how they communicate and know to switch or don’t switch to manage around or under screens and the pick and roll, etc…. In football, this level of communication and coordination among offensive linemen happens on every play, but is most obvious on pass protection. Our OL was anything but a well oiled machine when we played Texas A&M, and it’s a testament to Leonard’s mobility that their DL didn’t dominate that game.I know it’s not ideal with the amount of time he’s missed and recovering from an injury, but they were talking about him like he was a future first round pick prior to the start of the season.
Knapp has been solid and has improved a lot, but I was watching these two Georgia guys on YouTube break down our game vs IU and they mentioned Knapps struggles in pass pro. I wasn’t thrilled with the offensive line versus IU. Leonard is so good back there that we haven’t really paid the price for the offensive lines play.
I get the offensive line is a well oiled machine that needs communication and comfortability with one another. I just think about Georgia’s front seven and how big, fast and physical they are. With Spindler out, I wonder if the offensive line has more potential with Jagusah at tackle and maybe moving Knapp inside?
I played defensive back so for any of the o line guys, is the talk about the offensive lines ability to play as a unit overstated? Or is it that important?
