Perhaps the booing started here...

I was shocked that the crowd booed the team off the field at the end of the half and the end of the game. I've been going to games since the Devine era and can't say I recall another time that happened.

Again, look at his recruitment out of HS. Look at the offers he had. Alabama, OSU, Oregon, LSU, Florida, FSU, Georgia.
Bama, Georgia, OSU know how to evaluate talent.

Denbrock was working with a completely different level QB in Daniel's vs what he has with Leonard.

Resetting Expectations

Let’s be honest in this thread, ND is not who we thought they were. They are an average football team. Let’s start with grading positions groups to illustrate my comment above:

QB: C-
WR: D+
RB: B+
TE: C
OL: D+

DL: C
LB: C-
DB: B+

Special Teams: C-

Coaching, game planning, leadership: C-

This is an average football team. I expect another 2, perhaps 3 loses when the season ends. That’s realistic expectations after 2 weeks. Is it overreaction? Maybe, this offense is terrible. The game plan and schemes are just as bad as the players executing them.

ND doesn’t have 5 starting LB’s….Mitchell Evans isn’t 100%…the WR room isn’t improved….Riley can’t throw. That’s reality folks.

We gotta rebound and beat Purdue and Miami OH. Then beat Louisville's asses in a revenge game. Get to 4-1, and we can start to think about playoffs again.

I’m not asking him to beg for his job. I’m asking him to get out of the way. Figuratively that is. In other words I think his philosophy might be handicapping the offense. Somehow I feel like there is an air of playing not to lose.

Freeman has run out of runway and should be run out of town. Losing and embarrassing the school to inferior opponents has made him dead to me. All my good feelings toward him are evaporated. Get the —- out of town. You are done

And one last guy is an eyelash from being on this list of banished losers - Denbrock He is culpable in this loss. Wtf was he thinking? If Leonard runs on that last series we win. If Leonard runs on the series before that and the series before that - we win

But we all know - No one will be benched no one will lose their job. It pays to screw up .
