What does this quote say about ND QB play under Freeman?

Maybe...

Maybe not.

Let's not automatically extend the coaches aren't timid and tentative here and or even picking the right guy.

We witnessed a previous coach who now resides in the south with a fake accent pick the wrong QB for nearly a decade.

Don't make me do it....
You call it pick the wrong QB for nearly a decade. I call it make lemonade with lemons for nearly a decade.

Is it mere coincidence that BK goes to LSU, and turns the highest rated QB he ever had (Jayden Daniels) in his career into a top 5 draft pick and heisman trophy winner?

Where's Golson5?

🥱...tell us some more about ND football and recruiting🥱...you couldn't spot talent if Ana de Armas fell in your lap! You haven't been right about a QB since you've been on this board. At least your not a sheep but, it ain't saying much considering you act like every word out of your mouth is factual...based on your assessments I don’t think you know shit!
I feel the same about you. So we're on the same page!

Haven't been absent. I just knew this board was going to be a shit show for a long time. And people were going to be going nuts and off the deep end.

It happens after we lose a commit and when we have a loss. And when we have a really embarrassing pathetic loss it's just unreadable and annoying so I usually stay away for days to a week til all the crazies stop posting and going whacko

That the QBs on the roster aren't talented enough and are game managers not playmakers.

It's a sad day when our QB play has me thinking of Ian Book...

🤬🤬🤬🤬
This whole thing just irritates me

It's not the loss to NIU.
Most don't understand CFB is no longer about perception.
Too many "me first" players want to start and showcase themselves that talent is littered throughout all of D1 football now.

What irritates me is we have another QB that we mortgaged part of the future for using the star trek portal thing, Another QB who was simply average at their previous team yet we roll out the red carpet.
Another QB with a weak arm who is inaccurate.

Oh yeah...and we start this guy....pay this guy...seemingly married to this QB who can NOT PLAY THE POSITION AT THE LEVEL WE NEED.

If our goal is to finish in the top 25 he's great.
If, and God forbid we are reaching for a little higher ranking than that, he's a terrible choice.

What does this quote say about ND QB play under Freeman?

"Just want to play within the offense. We don't need anything spectacular," Freeman said to NBC sideline reporter Zora Stephenson. "Do exactly what your coaches tell you to do, play within the game plan and the rest will take care of itself. If we start trying to make plays and throw the ball down the field, then all of a sudden we're playing out of character. Just do exactly what we want you to do and the rest will take care of itself."
I really wouldn't put too much weight on anything a coach says to a sideline reporter. But to answer your question: that the starting QB isn't good/talented enough and is a game manager not a playmaker.

Multiple reports that Leonard injured his left labrum in NIU game

Unbelievable. No wonder the kid stopped running the ball. I had an injured labrum in my non-throwing shoulder, and it can definitely negatively affect how you can throw the football - see Baker Mayfield's poor play with the Browns after he tore his left labrum. It would also be extremely painful to take a hit.

Why didn't Freeman replace Leonard after he hurt himself? Bad judgement on the part of Freeman.

What do you think of Riley Leonard? where's that strong arm you were raving about, and how dynamic he was going to make the offense. 😂
He played horribly. But he has a strong arm. He threw a ridiculously awful pass.

I also remember people killing Parker and saying how much better Denbrock was and how he was going to change the offense.

Where are those people? Were you one of them? 2nd and 1 at the 50 and he's throwing a double post when we haven't thrown one deep all year and our OL and WRs are playing below average

The head coach and OC are the first people that need to be blamed for that humiliation. Followed by our QB and DC

Top to bottom a complete failure

You can't go with Carr.....
The only option is Angeli.

If we went with Carr the entire QB room will leave and they should.
This theme of rent-a-QB was stupid from the get go and I screamed this from the top rope.
Now here we are three years later...
Coan, Hartman and Riley later...
And what do we have to show for it....

An underperforming QB position...AGAIN.

For three straight years we have tried taking the easy way out with the QB spot and what we got is simply other teams table scraps.
Joe Burrow isn't coming here via the star trek portal thing...

We have to EARN that QB by recruiting him.

If we go with Carr the QB room next year will have Carr, plus two freshmen, one being a three star and the other a two star and probably a walk on emergency QB.

Let Angeli play this year out,
Agree with your logic on why Angeli should be UP FIRST.

Besides, when has he played poorly? He HASN'T.

He's ALWAYS ANSWERED THE BELL.

He can PLAY THE POSITION.
