Oklahoma vs Navy

Stupid comment. If only BK was coaching OK.....never would have happened, LMFAO
Yeah, it was a sarcastic comment. The SEC is still the very best conference, and even though Navy beat OU it doesn't seriously suggest that they are not. Navy is a top G5 team while OU is a bit of a mess this year, plus they just experienced a mass of transfers preceding the game while Navy presumably suffered none. So it's not some impossible result, that surely somehow proves that the SEC sucks. For some reason, which we won't get into, the SEC are the avowed enemies on some sort of brutal, primitive level of ND, even though I'm not sure the feeling is terribly mutual. And so any opportunity is taken not simply to glory in their various failures and defeats, but to actively attempt to delegitimize and discredit the SEC in the event of such a defeat.

So it's not a stupid comment. I was just mocking you. And the SEC is still the dominant conference, even though Bama didn't deserve to get in to the playoff at 9-3.

Pandora's box would be easier than this mess...

True. All I am saying is that if these kids coming out of high school want to be paid , and they do, that’s fine. Negotiate a contract with the school you want to go to. Then, stick to whatever deal is signed. These kids are literally jumping from school to school trying to make as much money as they can get. You can’t do that in the NFL.

Let’s say a player gets a 2 million dollar NIL deal to play for LSU. After one year , another team says we can get you 6 million if you come to our school. So the player leaves. I would too. But if you sign a contract stating we can get you ( insert amount) of money , but you must stay for 3 years. No one is forcing the player to sign. But if he does, he has to stand by the contract, no reneging. I think that’s fair. Each individual player can negotiate whatever they can get. Heck , get an agent so you have representation. Whatever the deals is with the school, then that’s the deal until the contract expires.
Who would of ever thought this is what college football would become, and the big winners are the blood sucking lawyers, the big losers are the fan base

Can Jagusah work his way into the lineup?

It's a great " problem" to have. For arguments sake let's say Knapp and Jagusah move inside. Heaven forbid you get a season ending injury to one of the starters at tackle. How many teams would have the luxury of having two guys you feel very comfortable with moving outside if need be ? Regardless of who ends up starting in 2025 it's going to be a very good to elite level o line.
Very very rare to see an interior guy moved to play tackle, as the demands for length and good feet and quickness at tackle are typically beyond what guards or centers can provide. And as you say, we will likely have two! So much for the criticism of Rudolph for recruiting too many tackles and not enough inside guys!

Georgia is going to attempt to run the ball down NDs throat

The track meet scenario would most likely be UNFAVORABLE.

ND might be able to have enough D-DURABILITY, though, to limit Georgia to LONG DRIVES given their own potential issues with an unproven and possibly UNSPECTACULAR QUICK STRIKE QB. In which case, if ND can muster enough offense of its own, it's IN THE GAME and could perhaps force a CRITICAL TURNOVER and/or HAVE THE BALL LAST.

Or it could simply score at the kind of clip it did against Army and USC. Meaning that IT'S DONE THIS BEFORE. But, of course, this is Georgia, meaning ND would almost have to play a flawless game OFFENSIVELY. A kind of OVER THE TOP PERFORMANCE. I'd say it's possible though a lot LESS LIKELY.

Still, even if ND prevails, how does it then GET UP for PSU, a likely winner, and then, should it prevail again, Oregon, OSU or Texas.

And the WHOLE TIME with that GUTTED DL.

We're looking at a TALL ORDER for as long as ND can stay alive.
You are giving GA way to much credit, and giving ND too little.

Can Jagusah work his way into the lineup?

Agree with everything here. Presumably Black is in the two deep at tackle as a true freshman. Hope Rudolph makes early decisions on our projected starting OL and our portal transfers occur after these become apparent during Spring practice.

Notre Dame is up in F+ in relation to UGA by a healthy margin: this is why it matters!

The facts are no team has won a title with zero five stars. Heck, I don’t think any team has won a title with less than 5 on their roster. The talent gap is large and important because if you watch the film, you don’t come away thinking Georgia is significantly better.

ND is far and away the more consistent team. Georgia on their A game is the best team in the country and it’s not all that close. Fortunately for ND, that team has rarely showed up this year.

Can Jagusah work his way into the lineup?

No chance. Wagner has been outstanding in my opinion in his first season. Injuries are always unfortunate. That said Jagusah will have to earn his spot wherever that is. The o line room is an embarrassment of riches. Nothing would surprise me next year. Gotta believe you can pencil in Schrauth and Wagner for sure but after that the competition should be hot and heavy. The health of Craig will certainly factor in. My ideal unit would be left to right Lambert, Schrauth, Craig/ Knapp, Jagusah/ Jones, Wagner. Would not surprise me one bit to see one or two guys enter the portal in the spring.

Can Jagusah work his way into the lineup?

I know it’s not ideal with the amount of time he’s missed and recovering from an injury, but they were talking about him like he was a future first round pick prior to the start of the season.

Knapp has been solid and has improved a lot, but I was watching these two Georgia guys on YouTube break down our game vs IU and they mentioned Knapps struggles in pass pro. I wasn’t thrilled with the offensive line versus IU. Leonard is so good back there that we haven’t really paid the price for the offensive lines play.

I get the offensive line is a well oiled machine that needs communication and comfortability with one another. I just think about Georgia’s front seven and how big, fast and physical they are. With Spindler out, I wonder if the offensive line has more potential with Jagusah at tackle and maybe moving Knapp inside?

I played defensive back so for any of the o line guys, is the talk about the offensive lines ability to play as a unit overstated? Or is it that important?
Not an offensive line guy; but no, this importance isn’t overstated. In Basketball, it’s easy to see teams that defend best by how they communicate and know to switch or don’t switch to manage around or under screens and the pick and roll, etc…. In football, this level of communication and coordination among offensive linemen happens on every play, but is most obvious on pass protection. Our OL was anything but a well oiled machine when we played Texas A&M, and it’s a testament to Leonard’s mobility that their DL didn’t dominate that game.

Knapp is not your prototypical OT, and certainly not by ND standards. He was our third string true freshman LT going into Fall. Rudolph recruited him as a tackle and sang his praises even while rating agencies proclaimed Knapp to be an interior guy at the college level. Jagusah goes down, Baker’s limitations are on full display at practice, and Rudolph rolled the dice with Knapp. During the first half of the season, there were numerous plays where Knapp either failed to handle his man in pass protection, or literally failed to pick up stunts, etc… and Leonard was forced to scramble. By seasons end, Knapp still struggles against inside rush moves, but is much more assignment correct in coordination with Schrauth in picking up blitzes and stunts, etc…. I think Knapp is an interior guy, not a tackle, but that’s for next year to sort out, not the playoffs. So no, you don’t mess with this position at this time of year.

If Rocco is a no go at RG, you strictly focus on who to insert without disrupting the other four OL. I said previously that Pendleton is talented and aggressive, but not at all position correct and plays without much thought or discipline. Time and experience might resolve this, but doubt we can expect much improvement over his play which lost him his starting position early in the season. Jagusah is most likely a guard going forward, and that’s where he has been practicing, and I sure as hell would be giving him a long look over Pendleton if I were Rudolph, if Pendleton was our only alternative. But we have others to consider, and I think someone like Absher gets really strong consideration. A huge decision for Rudolph. One thing for sure, there will be miscommUnication and missed assignments on the right side if Coogan and Wagner have an unfamiliar guard playing alongside. Need to minimize the impact by moving the pocket, etc…

Will Pauling commits

27 catches, 350 yards. 2 receptions a game, about 13 yards for each.

Best games are against the best competition outside of his best FSU.

For a WR, stats are not killer. Serviceable.

. Faison played in 5 games and has 280 yards and 23 receptions.

Collins has 445 yards.

Greathouse is second to Flanagan for avg per catch.

Georgia is going to attempt to run the ball down NDs throat

If KVA is back and can TRULY play like he did, that gives us two very large LB’s to fill gaps. Bowen and KVA are both 240. I doubt their QB can outrun either. I just can’t see UGA putting their QB in 3rd and longs. It’s going to be out routes if we are giving space, dinks and heavy run. Comes down to how fresh we can be. Gonna need the o, like USC to show up.

When thirty (30) plus players

NIL is provided by “entities” that are tied to that program. Any NIL provider could include in the contract mandatory participation in the bowl game or all funds must be repaid.

They could also provide draft insurance in the event of an injury. Players sit out that feel that will get starter. I doubt 30 players for those 2 teams get drafted. Maybe 3 from those two teams.
