I know most people on this board are haters, but give the guy his due. The man can coach. Won a national championship last year, and now is taking a Charger team that was 5-11 last year to the playoffs this year. And that's with pretty much the same roster, and honestly probably not even as good a roster as they had last season. He's a bit weird, but a damn good coach.
Good coach, still cheated at Michigan

Quinn Ewers

This is intriguing. I initially was fully on board with not taking a quarterback and rolling with Angeli or one of the young guys. If we took a transfer, why would any QB sign here? You’re unlikely to play and ND hasn’t proven they can develop quarterbacks anyways.

Ewers is probably the only guy that will give Freeman pause. This is still a what if. If he wins the NC, no way Texas goes with Arch. What if he goes to the NFL? What if another school offers more?

In the end, I think it’s best we roll with Steve. He’s looked good when given the opportunity and has waited his time here. If Steve doesn’t perform, I think we have 3 capable players waiting in the wings (granted none transfer).

When thirty (30) plus players

Many colleges have degrees where you can walk in, do nothing, and still easily get a high enough grade on tests. You don't even have to be fully matriculated. If I remember correctly, Tim Tebow at Florida took 0 courses his last semester, maintaining a 3.4 GPA in a program where the average GPA was 3.7.

College football has long academically accommodated athletes. So the question on mandatory attendance is moot. Like we keep discussing, it's a farce...but the mob always has, does, and always will pay to see the gladiator games.

They could care less about college.
Sounds like my high-school
