The loss to Kentucky sucks. I know. They played their guts out, didn't get embarrassed by an obviously better team and darn near won the thing if for a couple of plays in the final minutes. For a team like Kentucky, to look bewildered honestly worried about losing... that says something about this Irish team. They showed up and gave it everything. Lets not also forget that no one in their right mind predicted this ND team to make it to the elite 8... which is not an easy task.
But... everyone is forgetting something....the ladies are still in the dance and are VERY much in contention. Not much chatter about the ladies team.
I mean seriously, how often does a basketball program put both teams in the elite 8? The cup is still half full ladies and gentlemen.
