Why can’t anyone believe Ludwig didn’t want the job?

I asked specifically, what was the impediment and deal breaker with the negotiations with Ludwig. I hoping to have my answer late Thursday afternoon.

As an FYI, and not necessarily stating this is true so don't shoot the messenger. The claim from several premium forums was that the buyout was initially the deal breaker, and following the backlash from fans and alumni, the administration changed their mind, went back and were willing to pay the buyout. By then it was too late, Ludwig decided to stay at Utah. They also claim their sources are/were involved and intimate with the process.

The source I asked is JS, so I’ll let you know what his direct response is.

I also asked about the “wisdom” of playing Navy in Ireland and the potential negative impact on the following games, one, two and three weeks later.

I believe that there should have been a buffer of at least two weeks.
