USC Wash

UW has had the ball three times in Trojan territory and hasn't done a thing with it. Their offense looks pathetic.

There's no way it was even half full at kickoff. I don't know how they recruit to that.

That program's history should give you some idea of what they really use to lure recruits.

Of course, the southern cal apologists will claim it's due to Thursday night traffic.

Looks like USC is looking ahead to us. Clemson had 2 weeks to prepare and now USC has extra days as well.
Coincidence? I think not

USC is going to lose this game further complicating any chance ND will have of making a playoff if they go undefeated.

Oh...and I just saw the Colts get a TD on the same pick play ND got flagged on vs FSU. The Colts receiver blocks two DB's to allow Andre Johnson to get his second TD of the night....

The crowd after the first quarter.....

USC scores a TD....goes for 2 point conversion and the receiver drops the pass......sounding familiar to anyone?

17-12 isn't 21-9......

PS go to the end of the va game and watch you know who signalling for 1 after we went up 5. Fortunately, there was a coaches conference and we went for 2....

Bye bye Cutty Sark and Haden. Go Stanford. If Stanford doesnt win the Pac 12 ND's playoff hopes are gone.
Hey Beach who's the next coach at UOJ?

Now that they have 2 losses, the next game in the Coliseum will be even more sparsely populated. Southern cal fans are the most fair-weather in college football.

Hmm. I would still give Miami that crown. Both will counter "there's more to do in the city than out in the Midwest", which while true doesn't account for the fact that there is also like 5x the surrounding population in cities like LA and Miami.

If you win out and Stanford wins the PAC, you could still make the playoff. Still so early that perhaps all P5 champions will have one or more losses.

Yeah, I was born and raised in southern California and I agree that their claim is utterly preposterous and provincial. What do they think people in the Midwest do with their time? Sit at home and look out the window? What a lame excuse.

USC will now either toss in the white towel on the season or come out loaded for bear vs ND. If you get up on them early they might lose heart. But they were embarrassed tonight and will look for national redemption vs ND on the 17th.

Whoever has the better coaching staff will win. HINT: It ain't SC.

We're done! Sark is a deer in the headlights. We won't run the ball when we can. We want to play cute football. We have so many weapons what we want to emulate the old Laker Showtime.

We will lose the following: @ND, Utah, @ucla.

No way Sark survives that. Haden might step down also.

Good lord, their board is in full meltdown mode! Already calling for Chip Kelly! That would be a scary pairing. Don't know if Haden would sign off, with the checkered past of both parties involved.

I hate to pull for SC, but I fear if they tank, our playoff chances will be virtually nil, unless Stanford wins out. We really need Clemson to do well the rest of the year.

Sark needs a play book - but 'reading is a necessity - that means going to class (oh no!); trying to teach the playbook with 'flash cards' takes years and by then they have declared for the NFL, Unemployment or 'your Honor, I'm not guilty'

USC losing to UWash , though satisfying, is not in the best interest of ND's play off hopes. In fact, it's a must for all of our opponents to win as many games as possible. That's what happens when you don't take care of your own business and do not have that almighty extra game. IMHO, and it's only my opinion, I would think it is better for Clemson to beat GT. Since everyone has been beating the Jackets, that important beat down doesn't look that good anymore. That ship has sailed. If the selection people research and understand that ND outplayed Clemson at their place then perhaps that can work in our favor, but who knows. There are still too many undefeated teams and too many one loss teams with the same hope as ND. Again, 30-7 is a lot better than 30-22. Score matters. That's why a team in the hunt needs to finish games.

There is no way ND gets into the playoffs. USC will not be in the top 25 when you play them and I don't think Stanford will have only 1 loss. Stanford might be ranked 24-25 if they are lucky. ND has an easy schedule considering you scheduled the armed forces, all ACC, the weakest Big Ten and PAC 10 teams. USC and Stanford are no longer top teams and won't win their conference until they change their coaches. That's fine but you have to go undefeated. Go back and schedule Michigan in your schedule.

The PAC 10 is so weak that they won't be in the playoffs. Big Ten, SEC, Big 12 and ACC. Maybe no ACC and double one of the other conference.

USC AD should be fired. Sarkisian was only hired because he coached at USC before just like Lane Kiffin. Steve record at Washington was 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6, and 8-5, real impressive.

We need a lot to happen...Win out first........Make sure USC, Clemson, and Stanford win out...Shoot we need to cheer for Northwestern now to make Stanfords early loss look good..

They're all at home watching "Trojan Wars" on ESPN pining for the glory days ;)

I've always followed the Huskies and figured this is what USC would look like under Sark. Unfortunately his teams play very well in some games and absolutely pathetic in others. Next week they'll be ready.

UWash has a very good defense. They have been playing tough all season. The fact that Kessler looked human comes as a surprise to me. I understand it was Thursday night, sparse crowd, playing UWash, still, Cody and his mates had a lot riding in that game and they blew it. On a positive side of things, anyone coming to South Bend without tickets for the USC game will now be able to take advantage of the savings on good seats. Send Chris Peterson a thank you note.

I was supposed to be on my way to the game this weekend but have to stay in town until tonight...so unless I hop in the car late tonight for the 6 + hour drive I will instead be heading down next weekend....hoping a few USC fans cancel their hotels more than I am worried about ticket prices!

This bravado coming from a Ruptures fan of all people. Ruptures' non-conference schedule: Norfolk State, Washington State (a loss), Kansas, and Army. Schedule Michigan? We already have series with Ohio State and Georgia scheduled in the next few years. Come back when you know what your talking about, half-wit. Nice try, though.

Rutgers = the State College of New Jersey = Armpit even in the Big - Too Funny.

I was thought USC is supposed to win over Washington. USC have many speed players out of USC's roster.
USC is 2-2. Notre Dame is not type of what we saw Washington's defense slam USC's offense line. ND is always problem with the tackles. I can feel USC will beat ND this year because of ND is missed the tackles and USC's speed runs will hurt ND's defense.

Not sure USC will be able to stop ND. Might be a high scoring affair.

USC is loaded with talent, and they were able to run on a very good Washington team in spurts, but the level of effort and the play calling were terrible. They are easily capable of upsetting ND and were probably caught in a trap game looking ahead to us. We need to take care of business against Navy, and then be prepared for a very tough game with USC. They are much better than they showed last night, just as we are much better than we showed against Virginia.

I remember 2007 ,Michigan at home, unbelievably lost to Applachian St ,32-34, then lost to Oregon 7- 39 . But the third week ,Michigan took out all their frustration on a ND CW coached team ND , 38-0 . My point being that USC like other opponents always gets up for ND . Their (USC ) season has taken a bad turn with losses to Stanford and Washington . Better believe USC , after under performing will go all out to beat us at ND stadium .

Another point Stanford ,Utah ,California are still undefeated .but UCLA ,USC ,Oregon ,Arizona State , even Washington can upset the applecart and create havoc in the PAC 12. So USC will try to turn around their season at ND.

When ND plays anyone ,I don't take anything for granted ,with the way we under achieve at times .
