After seeing such hate on Kevin Sumlin and death threats against Florida’s Head Coach.

Maybe, the smartest guy is Brent Venables, Don Brown and the coordinators who get paid a million plus dollars a year without the insane pressure the Head Coach gets.

If it’s me- if I’m a 1, 2 million a year coordinator- and I have 5,6 year deal

I’m not going anywhere. I’m set for life right there.

That being said, I hope ND gives the staff huge raises after this year is over.

They’re Alpha males who want to see if they can do better, and the lure of tripling their salary, combined makes staying put as number two a hard thing to do. That said, not sure the pressures and non football responsibilities are worth it.

Their contracts don't really matter if their HC gets fired. Coaches rarely keep the previous staff's coordinators.

Makes me concerned how soon Elko and Long will be HC's and ND is starting over with coordinators.

If we win the natty this year then be concerned, these guys aren't going anywhere and winning it all this year is highly unlikely IMO. If anyone leaves someday it will be Long bf Elko bc everyone loves offense.
