No, I am not looking past Miami. Live in Washington and watching the Stanford game. Stanford up 20-14 at end of third. Some observations:

1. Love is good
2. Love is good
3. Love is good

And, Stanford is well coached. Appear to me to be a bit slow on defense.

They are VERY well coached.

I'm not going to start a pissing contest with who is the better coach Shaw or BK but I can say this...
They are very well coached and shop from the different aisle. I just never heard Shaw claim the different aisle as an excuse.

One has won major bowl games and the other....to be continued

I am very glad they won last night. It wouldn't do much good beating a four loss Stanford team. It would be BK's first Irish win on the road at Stanford. He lose 3 games by 14,7,and 2 points.

Stanford is going to be a tough out, they have had inconstant QB play all year. K.J Costello might be the answer, I remember ND recruiting him, and IIO thinking he might be the next Irish QB. Ryan Burns and Keller Chryst just were not the answer, Stanford is going to have a tune up in The Big Game, before they get ND at The Farm.

The Irish should beat Stanford by something like 34 to 20. Our running game and improved passing game will be just too much for Stanford.

*** I think we can hold Bryce Love---he is fast as hell but easy to bring down. Costello is a damn good QB and he has monster tight ends to throw too.

I respect Stanford but the Irish are on a higher level.

Had to respond to the board nitwit.

And I have to respond to you and your alter ego FloridaIrish. Stanford did Notre Dame a favor by knocking Washington and the Pac12 out of the playoff race last night. One less Power 5 conference in the mix helps Notre Dame's odds of getting into the playoffs if they take care of business the rest of the way. It also serves notice that Stanford will be a tough out at Stanford should that game mean anything to Notre Dame after tonight. I don't get the hate for David Shaw by some of you on this board. He has done more with less than Brian Kelly has done, and only a dope like yourself would parade around Kelly's beat down at the hands of Alabama in 2012 as a badge of honor.

No, it is not just that Love is fast; he has very quick feet and his lateral moves and acceleration make him very tough to bring down. Not one of his 3 TD's last night was a jail break; he found creases here and there and the next thing you know he was in the end
zone. Very different type of runner compared to Jones. However, I also thought, after watching Washington, ND is a much better team than Washington. Browning is an average QB at best; their wide outs are average, and D is overrated.

2 National Champs and a title game appearance. He is a good coach but not in BK's league. Use what brain cells you have.

I expect Stanford to be a very physical tough game for us. I like Shaw and think he has been a great coach for them. I disagree about doing more with less. He has had very good quarterbacks, elite linemen, and elite running backs. Who the hell knows how Kelly would do at Stanford and Shaw at ND, and frankly, who cares? It’s high time that Kelly goes into their stadium and delivers a hard fought convincing win, and this is the year.

I don't get the hate for David Shaw either,
Like Stanford a power run offense not to mention a defense with a pulse has done ND wonders
I also agree knocking the Huskies out was huge.

Lol...oh great supporter of one BVG...

I offered to help you many times of wanted to go over the games I'll gladly help educate you without the help.of google. Wouldn't it be nice if you could actually know a little more about football without having to pick up your device and ask google for help?

I don't think it's personal. The zealous anti-Kelly crowd last year was constantly praising Shaw an kind of an opposite image of Kelly. Probably a fair amount of people got tired of hearing it.

It's OK to look past Miami. Hell, talk about the Arkansas game when they come to South Bend in a couple of years. We have no affect on tonight's game. One game at a time applies to players and coaches. Talk Stanford all you want.

Stanford will give you a better game than Miami.

Right now my main concern is Miami ! Win this one and than Stanford becomes hugh, provided , of course,
We beat Navy ! One game at a time and never underestimate an opponent!

Nothing at all ! Talk is always fun, but we still have to win on the field !

What's going to happen if you talk about Stanford?

Nothing. It's the arrogance of fans that makes us think we matter. Unless we are in the staidium cheering and providing atmosphere, we are totally useless and powerless.

But it is fun to THINK we matter and not JINX the team.
