Can I just assume that the Notre Dame vs Stanford game will be an 8:00 PM start? Would Stanford losing one of their next two games change that?

Can I also assume we may not hear for at least another week the star time?

I looked at other matchups that day and there are lots of good games...I was also shocked at how many games do not have their start times set yet. I know TV controls things but I think it is more than a little bit stupid that most people cannot play their weekends (more for the people attending) as they have no idea if they are driving home at 3:30 or midnight half the time.

At least with ND's NBC contract the start times are laid out in advance for the entire year.

Anyone concerned that if ND wins a close game vs Stanford, then Stanford lays an egg in the PAC championship game that a B12 team could get the nod? Would the P12 game matter?

If both teams win out, it will be definitely be an 8pm kickoff, likely on ABC or FOX. Honestly, I see FOX getting either this game or OU/OSU and ESPN will choose from this. From there I see either FSU/UF, Bama/Auburn/ Clemson/SCar on CBS or ESPN since ABC can't air SEC home games.

Let me say that I can almost predict what two games will be night games at the stadium in 2016. MSU and Stanford. A case can be made for the Miami game but not in 2016. The networks control everything about sports. It does give us some great prime time games. Last Saturday I watched football for twelve straight hours before giving it up somewhere in the 2nd Quarter of the USC game.

Believe the Fox has first choice for the game and if that is the case it will be an 8pm start, it would be Fox's only ND game all year. If ABC/ESPN get the game I still think its 7/8pm start time but ESPN already has Baylor-TCU in one of their prime-time afternoon slots so it would probably be on ABC.

I hope. I love the night games. Get my round of golf and my run in, then settle down to some football. Love it.

Any network wants Notre Dame in prime time, guaranteed ratings. Those people in the East will stay up till midnight to watch the Irish vs Stanford.

Do we have any idea on when they will announce the game time? Will it be this week or will they wait until Sunday or Monday?

I'd say it's an almost lock that ND/Stanford will be a 7:30 start on FOX.

Baylor versus TCU is a Friday game

Fox starts their primetime games at 7:30 p.m. not at 8. See last week Oregon at Stanford and last time ND was out in Palo Alto for examples.

The last 2 times ND played at Stanford they were 8 pm (east coast) start times - I know - I attended both games. The game this year will most likely be the same.

I see that now, weird thing is that ESPN on the future schedule has ND/Stanford on Friday too.
I just checked again, Notre Dame is listed as Sat. Nov. 28, TBD
it is about 6 th game listed as TBD on Nov. 28. Above that, they have TCU/Baylor, Iowa/Nebraska, NAVY/ Houston, Nov. 27.

For security reasons, kickoff time will not be announced until 10 minutes before kickoff.
