prayers needed

Abby's MRI didn't tell us much as they didn't get a good picture of the PG or tumor. Like WTH? The good news is there is no evidence of brain bleeds or other masses. They did think the tumor on her pituitary had grown though but had no clue how much. Maybe they were trying to rule out other issues for her memory loss? Color me a very confused mama!!!

These are understandably difficult times for you and your family and you have my best wishes and my prayers that everything turns out well.

It’s extremely difficult being resigned to being an observer while a loved one is undergoing all of these tests and treatments. Uncertainty and the unknown make us so very uncomfortable and insecure.

Was the MRI performed with or without contrast ?

The only suggestions I can make is that you ask as many questions as you can until you get answers that satisfy you.

i would also suggest that you seek second opinions.

Dr. Eric Holland and Dr. Cameron Brennan are renowned Neurosurgeons dealing with brain tumors.
They are at The Fred Hutchinson center in Seattle and MSKCC in NYC, respectively.

Good luck !

status: I am now in what is really a ‘re-boot’ of my entire immune system. All everything is gone and over months
needs to be re downloaded into my system. That is why they give a 2nd Birthday to recipient.

AND

now: ABBY needs prayer and more prayer: prayer without ceasing. A name found in the Old Testament and means “The God who heals” in Hebrew. Jehovah Rapha. Our God heals. We cannot feel the job is done until Abby is well!
And face it anyone with a need for prayer for a loved one can report it here so we can the prayer army for those souls in need!

Someday maybe Pers and Carol can come and meet Abby, say a prayer of thanks and gratefulness for our Lord.

Thank you! Hope all is going well for you and you are steadily healing. Prayers continue for you..
Abby is hanging in there...got another MRI this coming week on her ankle. Waiting on IU to call back for an appointment. Her favorite Bible verse John 8:12...her confirmation verse. Her favorite story is the story of Abigail.

alice:
hope it is ok with you, but keeping this alive for amy, and anyone else in need of prayer.
My own situation is in a period of doing mental and physical therapy each day. I report to the Dr.(Oncologist) each week and my GP each week. Progress is slow; patience is required.

Thanks Sluggo! Sitting in the doctor's office waiting for my appointment and then go home to return with Ab for hers. Office is packed...usually take an 8:15 am appointment to get in and out.
Alice, I laughed out loud when I read your opening Sentence about sitting in the Dr’s office. This rival’s board has been my go to source of entertainment while sitting and waiting in way too many appointments, as is our trend as we age. Nothing funny about your Abby though, and I keep hoping and praying that you finally get access to and some positive news from the Mayo Clinic; but some definitive positive news from IU would be a welcomed start! And apologies for a prior mistake thinking Abby was your niece rather than your daughter…don’t know where I got that notion, but somehow goes back to long ago posts about your pops, and his love for Alicia and Abby. Got these two intertwined. Abby is on my mind and in my prayers daily, just doesn’t require daily posts to that end, which I’m sure goes for many others who have expressed as much.

curious:

I had a good buddy on this board, going back years, and under various ID’s. He had my back w/o question. And he gave me perfect NYC navigation. Last ID known was LG7. Is my ole friend still with me here?

For all my Irish Board friends. Seems appropriate.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields and until
May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Until we meet again,

past few weeks have been torturous - treatments had to halt for a time. New Doctor. I cry to God day and night in prayer. God’s will be done.
Prayers sent up and God will provide healing for you.
