ND gets Screwed

It is. We have the 2nd hardest path. I think psu got the easiest path

Clemson vs Texas then Arizona State is no slouch. Texas doesn't have it easy here. Arizona State is interesting, no juggernaut, but look better than I thought they'd be.

Georgia is way better than Arizona State.

Indiana and Clemson are similar

In my opinion

I agree Georgia is better than ASU. And that ND does have the harder path. I'd definitely flip brackets with Texas.

But I'm unsure about the degree of difference.

I could be wrong, but ASU seems peaking at the right time and better than I thought. They looked pretty good. Same with Penn State as we discussed...things get clearer when all the games are played.

I guess head to head doesn't matter to this commite. Anyway one game at a time. Indiana good team I expect us to be able to run the the ball on them they had more trouble against Ohio State who has very good backs but our oline is better and I would take Love over anybody. I don't see this being a blowout 31-21 ND..

Hell, I’m just stoked we’re in the playoffs. Hope Freeman and the players have a chip on their shoulders, and focus entirely on Indiana and their 11-1 record. It’s the only matchup where our home field advantage is minimized. If we think we are NC quality, then our path is very doable. We damn well better have Cross available and playing at a high level. Our lack of pressure from our edges is a glaring weakness. Hope Golden can continue to work his magic with disguised blitzes, etc… to compensate. Beat the damn Hossiers!

If you really think that, it means you don't think much of ND.
No its means they werent dominate vs a light B1G schedule & their best resume results are close losses. We had 2 common opp.'s ND was far more impressive than PSU was against those teams. PSU got rewarded with the easiest path out of all the non bye teams dont think thats fair based on their body of work.

2-loss Ohio State won at 2-loss Penn State.

OSU lost by 1 at Oregon, Penn State lost by 8 to Oregon at a neutral site.

Penn State a 6, Ohio St. an 8.

Last night, you were implying that Georgia's defense wasn't any good, so we should just roll over them.
I did? Can you show me where I said that because that is absolutely inaccurate.

I said that about Oregon’s defense

I said Georgia's defense was bad against GT, they were

Just watched the Arizona state running back talking.
“ I’m the best running back in the country “
“ can’t see anyone beating us. Were the best team in the country “

Not humble at all.

But you were saying yesterday that Georgia's defense wasn't any good. Maybe their starting QB is out, too. And didn't I see their punter, who flips the field often for that lousy defense, leave on a cart with a serious knee injury?

I don’t remember saying Georgia’s defense is not good. I actually have been saying it is very good. Somebody pointed out having more 5 stars than ND…which I said doesn’t indicate superiority to ND. I’m also thinking ND can get enough points vs their D.

Georgia and Texas have elite defenses from what I saw.

Totally agree! Think the Irish can beat the Hoosiers and the Dawgs!
Time for the Irish to put the foot to the metal and prove the the SEC whiners and run of the mill haters wrong!
One game at a time...
Win and advance!
Go Irish! Beat IU!!

Final thoughts after watching the CCGs...think this Irish team can hold their own with any team in the playoffs

Also believe that first round byes should be eliminated and the all the teams seeded.

Clemson has the kind of roster that can hang with almost anybody.

Indiana might be the least talented team in the entire playoff.

LOL...Sorry I thought I was replying to Golson, who was dismissive of my comment that both the Georgia and Texas defenses looked fast and strong. (He cited Georgia's performance against Georgia Tech.) Now today, he says we have the toughest path. I wanted to ask him what changed his opinion overnight?

Well you are wrong again. And like I responded earlier, bring up where I said Georgia had a bad defense. I did not. I said they played bad against GT. They did

I also did not say we had the toughest path. I said the 2nd toughest path

So at least try to be accurate with what I said.

You went 0 for 2 here

Go back and read the "Another Boring SEC Championship thread. I mentioned that I thought both Georgia and Texas had excellent D's and your first response was a laugh; then when I followed up, you cited their performance against Georgia Tech.

Exactly. I've said many times Georgia has a good defense and they got beat up by GT.

So quote me accurately

Context means something. So when I said Georgia has a great defense, and you cited their poor performance Georgia Tech, it's obvious by context what you meant.

Ah...go back and read what I actually laughed at.

You said both teams would handle ND quite easily. And I would still laugh at you for that.

We would compete with both

Did Penn State deserve a higher seed over Ohio St?

I'm not going to waste any more time with this, but read through the exchange. You wouldn't have cited Georgia's performance against Georgia Tech if you were agreeing they had an excellent defense, The thing about you is that you think you are right all of the time. You are right half the time, The rest of the time you are full of shit.

The NIU loss cost us the 5 seed. So we move forward.

PSU being in front of OSU is wrong.

I figured they would find Bama a spot, was wrong

Am quite happy that Mich, USC and Lincoln, Bama, LSU and Kelly, Okie, and Ole Miss and Lane …all get to sit out

Now you aren't going to waste anymore time because you know what I actually laughed at was your BS comment that we can't compete with Georgia or Texas
