Other most important games in ND history. November 23, 1887 vs Michigan. December 6, 1888 vs Harvard Prep. November 1, 1913 against Army. How about Ara's win over Bama for the title? Lou's win over Miami, FSU or WVU. I'm sure there are other landmark games in the history of ND football that, at the time, were just as important. This is the noise coaches talk about that is constantly in the heads of players in and around campus.

I think we may be jumping the gun a bit here -- We have tools to beat Bama, but they have a lot more tools at their disposal as well. As far as "exposing Georgia" -- not sure how we did that since ND could barely do anything against them offensively.

I like the enthusiasm -- yes, a win will add more confidence to a team that I believe is beginning to feel it. ND still has a road to haul.

I agree this is not the most important game in history but I get his excitement. I cant wait for every Saturday to watch this team play. I'm glad the bye week is already over. We have not looked this good in a long time. Even are undefeated year was not like this. We are blowing teams out and this is with a new OC, DC and a first year starter at QB. A lot of improvement can still be made.

Exposed Georgia? I hope you right. The one thing exposed to me was that a lot of Irish fans are carrying WIC cards and their offspring are eligible for free breakfast & lunch at school.

This is why ND fans have such high expectations and a lot of other fan bases hate us....... We beat up U$C (a team that didn't look that good and got beat by WSU) and now all of a sudden a game against NC State is the biggest in the history of ND football!? Now, all of a sudden we are good enough to beat Bama by 10!? Bama didn't even member? WE WENT 4-8 LAST YEAR. 80% of posters on here wanted BK's head on a stick, now 80% think we should be favored to win it all!

Get real people. It is obvious we have a good team.... and we are significantly improved from last year, but damn it can be brutal to watch us throw the ball.

Just pump the brakes a bit, enjoy this team and this season but set some realistic expectations.

St. and Troy, but somehow the kicker missed the extra point for Florida against LSU and then Auburn takes a dive in the second half against LSU and then Ole Miss lets LSU run and down the field on them. So that sets up the yearly "game of the century" against Alabama for the Sec west lead next weekend. Talk about a ncaa/espn set up. Nothing but garbage going on. The SEC is just another conference without the espn contract, in all sports.

Obviously, the pack is a terrific team, They probably should be undefeated going into this game. They are definitely capable of beating the Irish. Realize most of us fans think we will win every game. Your side and ours. Your coach has prepared well historically on the bye weeks. Especially against Elko last 2 years. I believe the Irish are in for a battle however, I think they grind it out. personally 14-17 point victory. I do not believe that is a blowout. I mean we will get a late score or so to put it away. remember we fans are wishful thinkers. I also think your coach will be courted by big money suitors.

There are not two DL on Alabamas team that will dominate our two top 5 OL. The trenches are ND's strength. I want this rematch from 2012! I was nervous if a blowout in 2012, I would not be this time.

Rock once thought a game against Carnegie was such a sure thing, he went to the Army Navy game instead and let his coaches run the team. Not only did Carnegie win, but they shut out ND. NCST is important. Then WF becomes important. I promise you the players and staff will take WF seriously.
