And while I was surprised Mich. did not go for it on fourth and inches, I'm even more surprised that Michigan State faked a punt on their next possession, resulting in a turnover on downs and then a MIchigan TD.

Yes. Same as with Kelly & Weis … Weis recruited well for some positions, left other positions bare. But really didn't develop the talent he brought in. Kelly has been better at developing the players than Weis.

MSU got lucky on that choke by the UM punter, but what's lost in all this was that UM was lucky to be winning in the first place.

MSU dominated that game in the final three quarters and wound up out-gaining UM by nearly 150 yards, gained 20 first downs compared to 10 for UM, etc.; the better team won.

It was hilarious to watch Jim Harbaugh choking back the tears as the ref raised his hands for TD on the last play. Hopefully this will silence the Walmartvine trolls for a while.
