Big big loss, special teams was one of the best in the nation last year.
Douchebag reply.Didn't you know losing coaches is the hallmark of a strong program? Based on Rees, Hiestand and now Mason, ND is on track to be pre-season top 5 in the country, if we can just lose a few more coaches, we may be pre-season #1.
You're a douchebag. How about that?Douchebag reply.
Grow up and educate yourself. Harry retired. The other two made professional decisions. Yes it is a sign of a strong program.Didn't you know losing coaches is the hallmark of a strong program? What's the problem, it was like a rather witty remark. Which is a rarity around here. And now he has to grow up, to spare you feelings? As if.....Grow up.
I took it as a joke. In reality, these things happen. If it’s not leaving for a promotion, a return to an alma mater then it’s to the big leagues. It seldom means that a program is in decline.Grow up and educate yourself. Harry retired. The other two made professional decisions. Yes it is a sign of a strong program.

None of this means shit. How about we just go 9-3 next season instead of 8-4? What kind of douchebag sits around fussing and quibbling or bragging over whether or not the complexion of a football program is somehow brightened or dimmed based on where some assistant coach traipse off to? Jesus Christ that is loser talk.I took it as a joke. In reality, these things happen. If it’s not leaving for a promotion, a return to an alma mater then it’s to the big leagues. We're losing some top assistants, or at least ones that have a certain pedigree, and we're getting inferior replacements to take their place. Is that the sign of a top program?
Notre Dame is one of five teams to make two CFB playoff berths the last 5 seasons. What's it like to be winning all the time
Such a BS comment. The football head coach left because you can’t win at ND. The baseball coach did the same. Stop the spin.Notre Dame is one of five teams to make two CFB playoff berths the last 5 seasons.
So Pretty good.
Could things be better. Certainly. But it beats being Nebraska.

When he was hired, Clark Lea was, to many here, an inferior replacement. about “shit”? I think you don’t know shit.None of this means shit. How about we just go 9-3 next season instead of 8-4? What? What do you mean I don't know shit? What?? Clark Lea, since you brought him up, was Mike Elko's protege. Hiring Clark Lea was sort of like keeping Mike Elko. He'd been on staff for a year, was well known to BK personally by that point, and I presume was promoted because BK had become thoroughly convinced that he could be great for the job, just like Elko was good for the job. And what do you know, all the competence and intelligence and capability that he must have demonstrated as the LB coach was still on display when he became DC. And to boot, we probably avoided a lot in the way of a big philosophical shift, which is always nice....When he was hired, Clark Lea was, to many here, an inferior replacement. about “shit”? If you're referring to a parallel to our new OC, and how he was promoted from within, that is not the same situation at all. All signs, every last effin' sign points to ND actively pursuing and wanting to get a top OC from outside the program, and to make a big splash for the future of ND football. Totally effing that up, pretty much inexcusably I would say, and then settling for a distinctly inferior Plan B, who comes off not as some rising star like Clark Lea who we were fortunate enough to already have on staff, but as a MF crony and nothing more.
Face it, you're still just a miserable BK hater. And all this manufactured optimism over losing a bunch of key assistants is just the remaining death throes of that.....

Ok while scrolling back up I noticed the letters BK and that part only. Dude I’m a BK apologist. Wtf are you talking about? You need to just stop. What? What do you mean I don't know shit? What?? Maybe you're not a full-on BK hater. There's some other fellow on here named HDK, I believe, maybe I confused you with him, or something. But I highly, highly doubt you are a BK apologist in any kind of honorable way. And for someone like yourself, after years of regarding him with casual contempt whenever it suited you, you've finally decided you've had your fill and are calling off your dogs, presumably because you don't want to look like a loser when it's so obvious he one of the nation's premiere coaches. And so now you try to take credit for standing up for the guy. Does that sound about right?Ok while scrolling back up I noticed the letters BK and that part only. Dude I’m a BK apologist.
