I know "stats are for losers" LOL! Just looked up the records for the oppoents: Army has played 4 teams in the CBS bottom 25 and Lehigh. Their best win is over 3-3 FAU. FAU best "wins" are a 6 point loss to MSU and a 4 point loss to N Texas. Navy has played 4 teams in the bottom 25 and Bucknell. Best win is over Memphis. Memphis best win is over FSU. Now I understand these guys are tough, scrappy and confident. And they will play hard. They have also won most of the games by a good clip. And, yes, ND lost to NIU. But I'm not sure if they are Good by Service Academy standards or by College Football standards. Time will tell. GATech first.

It’s at least impressive that they’re winning by wide margins as you acknowledged. Memphis is usually pretty good so that’s a good win by Navy. Navy gave up a lot of points though but I’m not sure how the points came about.

ND just can’t turn the ball over as these games will be shortened. If the academies find themselves up by 14 points, that will put more stress than usual on Notre Dame compared to other opponents. Now with a true freshman at corner, there might be some more assignment busts and big plays. These games will be fun to watch.

I’m glad Navy got it turned around. That was a poor performance against ND in 2023. Poor strategic decisions IMO from their head coach going into 2023, but I’ve only watched parts of their games so I’m not sure how much has changed from last year.

Navy will be a tough outing. We usually don’t play that well at met life stadium with a 12 o’clock kickoff.

army is better than it has been in a very long time and Navy is about where its been for some time
neither one of them is going to be an easy out for us if we do not play our best and turn it over

I did not know Lehigh had a football team. Basketball I did.
You're obviously not from Pennsylvania. The Lehigh-Lafayette game goes back to the 1800s. It's one of CFB's oldest rivalries.

I was at the unfortunate 2010 game there with Navy. Hopefully this one will go better.
I was there also. I’ll be there next Saturday too and I’m hoping for a better result. This Navy team is playing well. They can throw it deep

Have fun - but not going this year, myself. These Navy and Army teams look really good this year.

All I remember from that 2010 game was the FB run up the middle. Their FB kept gashing us for big runs, over and over again. We never adjusted.

Yup. Lehigh had that super fan that called into the old Mark Packer show every week. And he always disparaged Lafayette in his comments.

I was as well, brought my then girlfriend, now wife to her first ND game, and it was an embarrassing moment.

I don't understand the post.

I would love to play Army, Navy and AF and have 13 games per year.
Not because of the possible outcomes but out of respect and reward to those programs and those kids and coaches!!!
Kudos to those kids who will do MORE MEANINGFULL things IN LIFE than any of the players in the other 131 D1 schools including ours.

I want to beat the academies simply by 1 point.

My favorite weekend in all of sport is Army/Navy weekend. Football purists love that game. 2nd down and 6 is a great play result!! Throwing the ball is a seldom practice.

Love the academies even when we play them

Be proud that you were there and simply say good for them.

It's a shame the way the world of today with far too many people looking for a superficial pipe dream of playing in the pros that will never happen for 98 percent of college players...

because at one time...
army and navy got really good athletes.. but that was when kids and families had pride in serving.

oh well

What the F are you talking about? “I don’t understand the post” ????

IF Navy wins today, I believe this might be the first time we play when both teams are ranked for a VERY LONG time.

Navy up 38-0 with 10:00 left in the 2nd quarter. Wow. Would love to know what the heck happened there.

Navy is up 51-10 with eight minutes left

have seen some video of the Army QB and that kid is dangerous
