First the Pope, now the former leader of the free world. Yet another pure genius move by Harbaugh. Never ceases to amaze.

Cease to amaze? If you're a Michigan fan, you probably love it, if you're a rival fan, you shake your head and think Jim "Attention Ho" Harbaugh and move on.

Would think honorary captains would have UM ties?

Hopefully God will bless Trump. No matter who is in office I always pray that God will lead them and guide them. God bless the United States of America.

"No matter who is in office I always pray that God will lead them and guide them."

1st thing God needs to do is take away Trump's ability to tweet!

Kids don't care about politics all they know is he is the first black president universally adored by the black community just like JFK for my Irish community
Try first Mulatto president.
You seem to forget he had a white parent too
I know that doesn't fit the narrative..

Oh I know man. I didn't like the guy at all but I can see from a recruits perspective why it would be cool. I've been team trump since October 2015, but you'd be hard to argue that to minorities Obama isn't extremely likeable

I agree 100%

What a bunch of j/o's. Cant even see how racist you're being. An ex-president getting honored somewhere....who cares. Happens all the time. Why is this particular one different to you? Why do you value such a school that "does it the right way" and puts importance on education first--beat your chest that it's better than Michigan and Alabama in that regard---and then post on the football forum the same trailer park redneck misinformed ignorance. You are so far removed from an Irish heritage you are embarrassing yourself. You should join an ole miss forum and buy a confederate flag. Worry about Temple you jag offs.

Is labeling dissenters "racist" a way to shut down opinions? I am speaking only for myself when I say Obama is the abortion president and that is the leadership quality that Harbaugh cherishes apparently. Save your lecture for the more gullible. When you throw out racist labels, you have already lost the argument.

Coach Booger is a tool bag. Is Rahm Emmanuel going to be honorary Stadium security Captain. Meat chicken blows.

Why THIS ex-president being honored bothers you? Mulatto? "Black players"probably like him...because he's black? Almost the entire world liked him. Disagree or not with his policies. He's YOUR ex-president as well. "Abortion president"? Nothing changed on that topic from the previous guy unless you are reading fake sites. It's not dissenters.. The guy spoke at ND. Why the double standard. Morons. Irish people used to face the same double standards.

Actually our Allies didn't like him and our foes loved him. He was a failure. He fits in perfectly at U M.

Mulatto is racist?

I have a better chance a pointing out you posted a more racist by stating "redneck" in the manner which you did, then me calling the president a mulatto(which his is), and not black(which he isn't).

Now Michigan honoring an ex-president that has directed the NSA to spy on 20 million Americans speaks volumes

How do u put leftist liberals' panties in a bunch?

Have their country vote trump in as their president in a massacre electorally. Although "panties in a bunch" is not nearly scathing enough. It would be more like "how do u unhinge the left to the point that they're wishing republicans dead?"

Trump
Trump
Trump
Trump
Trump

Are there any practical GOP'ers or have you all joined the cult? I think most of you identify not as Republicans but Trumplicans. You're blinded by the love of the man you defend everything to the death. It's almost stockholm syndrom sounding. This is a man, a mortal man who has severe limitations as a leader of the United States of America and you don't need to defend every move to protect your integrity as a voter.

Practical went out the window when the most liberal voting senator in our history was voted our president. There was nothing practical about the socialist's agenda. So spare us the practical GOPers BS. You lefties are gonna eventually have to come to grips w/ trump being the president. Kinda like what conservatives had to do when Barry O was elected. The right was furious, no doubt, but the left is far exceeding the right's behavior. Get over it, the right had to endure obama's leftist agenda for eight long years. Here's hoping the left does too.

This is very true.
It's absolute bullshit.

Is that why he's invited to functions even though he is no longer president?

The entire planet thinks Trump is an ass. Friend or foe - it doesn't matter.
Trump has united the world.

Trump has united the world.

How so?

Maybe Left-leaning functions.

President Trump is an ass ill give you that, but you don't see anyone taking him for granted. You don't see as many illegal immigrants flooding this country, and you see Democrats still losing seat after seat.

I thought you once said President Obama United the world now you're saying president Trump is united in the world.

The difference is President Obama United the world with their hand out
President Trump United the world for them to figure out their own problems and America will not pay their bill

I liked Obama as a person, but strongly disagreed with his politics and vision for America. I dislike Trump as a person, but strongly support his SC appointment, his gutting harmful regulations, and his overarching view that he wants to moderate the far reaching role America plays in the world, which has to some extent, come at the expense of our own economic well being. The "Resist" mantra of liberals, coupled with the rabid frenzy of biased reporting and the shameful posturing by Hollywood, has further the class and opinion divide that Obama fostered, and our country is weaker for this. Labeling each other racists and libtards, etc... and blindly regurgitating the largely dishonest sound bites each side throws at every policy issue, as opposed to reading and developing our own informed opinions, will lead to the ruin of this great country.

I assume comparing Trump to Nixon is based on your belief that The Trump campaign colluded with the Russians, and that Trump was aware of this, and that his "hopes" that Comey could see his way to drop the Flynn investigation after Flynn's resignation, was an effort to conceal said collusion. At this point, all of this is unfounded allegations by the Dems to undermine Trump's agenda, being reported by the biased media as fact. If these allegations prove factual, Trump should resign. Up to now, these are simply hate and politically motivated unfounded allegations which is the only uniting force for a terribly divided Democrat Party still reeling in election denial.

Even if Trump did resign vice president Pence's strong religious beliefs would be the new mantra for the Democrats.

I am by no way denying president Trump's shortcomings and his clumsiness in the office but during an election with no good choices I would rather choose the new unknown than the known problem

In Donald Rumsfeld Publications he speaks of the knowns the known unknowns and the unknown unknowns.

Unfortunately that's all I had to base my vote on seeing what was coming out between the two candidates.

The lefts problem which are many, but will never admit to president Obama's recklessness, and divisiveness.

The Democrats have for decades silenced the blue dogs which I was one of. The blue dogs on the Democrats Last Hope but their numbers are dwindling. I have been following Congressman Tim Ryan for some time. And he comes across of the sound congressman

DIP, seen Ryan a few times. Same with Sen Langford of OK. Like them both, but see Ryan as having the greater upside political career.

I didn't know much about Ryan until I heard him challenging Nancy Pelosi so I researched him YouTube a few of his speeches and found a lot of common ground with him.

Two engineers out of our Oklahoma city office told me Langford and spoke highly of them They donated to his campaign but outside of that I don't know much, but I hope you make smart choices
