Then tell me a more likely scenario where Fleck comes to ND! Not saying he does, just saying this scenario in my opinion represents the best chance for those clamoring for Fleck.

Coach is a title period. Just as Mr, or Mrs. You do not have to know the person to be call them by their title when speaking of them.

I was in a VIP room with my wife, him and his daughter Nan. He was being inducted into the Ca Sports Hall of Fame. Anyway, we were on one side of the room and minding our business. Nan walked over, introduced herself and asked, "Would you like to talk to my father?" What a great time....

When I was growing in Alaska, my father was the football, baseball, wrestling youth coach. It started in Elmendorf, and it followed him to Wasilla.
Everyone in those town that had kids in those programs called him coach, hell my mother called him coach knowitall sometimes lol. It never occurred to me why my father never yelled at some of them, called them losers, and tell them they didn't have the qualifications to address him as coach?

I rather give him a chance now while we can sign him and see how he performs. I think a lot of us feel that Kelly has proven he is not ready for ND. Fleck should be given the chance. Throw him into the ND waters and lets see if it's Sink or Swim. I feel coach Kelly has already sunk. Though my preference is Peterson, I don't think ND can, at the state we are in, sign him.

I didn't compare undefeated season with Ara. You injected Ara to try to defend Coach Kelly

Laundry boy is comparing Coach Kelly to coach Rockne ( I know crazy huh), well if so why is there only one yet(removed) undefeated season so you've decided to bring coach Parseghian whom is a GREAT coach against coach Holtz whom is also a Great coach to defend coach Kelly whom is struggling to be a GOOD coach.
BTW, 1928 was coach Rockne only bad season. So that "Grass is Greener" comment is a stretch at best. It's more like what Kelly was think when he let his intentions out at the end of last season

I do not defend Kelly. I basically am "hands-off" any decision. I root for ND and support them. It is not my place to provide unsolicited advice on hiring or firing decisions at any level within the University. Even when I was there at ND, I never offered such advice. Micro-managing by alums or fans has no business in running the institution.
I apologize if I made an error, but your post was the first to raise undefeated seasons. Possibly someone I ignore raised the idea originally so I would not see any such mention.
