If these coaches are perfect, why was Joe Alt 3rd string and Ben Mo riding pine?? You’ve yet to address that question. Nobody is saying Angelli is better, simply stating get the next guy ready in a lost season- ya know build for the future when your bowl prospects are Charmin bowl. The gains outweigh the risk in my opinion.

First, Alt was riding 3rd string in 2021. Who was the HC in 2021? He started every game in 2022 and so far this year.

Secondly, I learned long ago the exception is not the rule. You named two out of 85 scholarship players where they went from backup to starter.

By your thinking we should just sit all the starters and play every backup in a game to see how they play. Per your thinking there could be a backup right now that's better than alt and B Mo.
