Does IU crowd the line of scrimmage and make Leonard beat them with his arm

ND will run the ball to control the game flow.
The real question is can IU move the ball against the ND defense?
Indiana had only 30 yards of offense in a 45 minute stretch of the game between their first drive and the middle part of the fourth quarter against OSU.

PPL act like ND can't complete a forward pass. Does anyone really think the last 10 teams didn't try to sellout against the run?

I would have to believe they watched the USC game a few times since USC passed for over 350 on ND, and IU likes to throw the ball. That said, will be curious to see how ND attacks them on defense.

Love had a fairly substantial brace on his knee in practice yesterday, hope it doesn’t hinder him.

Hope that is just precautionary for practice. We need Jeremiyah to play well in the playoffs.

If JL is injured/limited, I wonder if Kedren Young sees the field at all? Obviously Jadarian Price and Aneyas Williams will get the bulk of the work. While Kedren Young looked really good in very limited action this year, I think the staff decided to redshirt him. But as I understand, playoff games do not count toward redshirt eligibility, so KY could conceivably play if needed, though I expect Devyn Ford or Gi'Bran Payne would probably see the field first.

There is a problem with crowding the line. Love and Price do a really good job of being patient and then squeezing and exploding through a tiny hole. When those guys see daylight, they are gone.

Having the threat of Leonard running, holds the linebackers/safeties for just the split second that lets our lethal backs see daylight and once they do, good luck catching them. Notre Dame has busted multiple long runs every week since the Louisville game I believe.

It’s crazy how we thought this offence would cost this team the playoffs, yet now they look like a force to be reckoned with. Leonard is more than capable of throwing the ball in the short to intermediate passing game.

I believe Payne was done for the year.
