Charlie Strong says 2 QB's will play against ND

Great Coach - will have his team pumped after reading all the summer Cool Aid about the Irish - should be a great start to the season.

Not sure about the great coach stuff. The Irish are going to pound them.

Man Mack left that team in such a terrible spot. Mind boggling and sad really.
I agree and Strong has never had to do a rebuild like this. He inherited a pretty good program at Louisville and kept it going. He has his work cut out for and their fans aren't very patient.

I'm a big Charlie Strong fan. Loved when he was part of the Irish. I hope he does turn things around at Texas. Just as long as he doesn't do it when ND squares off against them :)

Honestly I don't think this changes much in the game planning for Kelly. Yes they are a little different QB. But at the end of the day it is about stopping the ball from advancing. And you can always design a game plan against that.

I think losing this game would be worse than the South Florida opener. Strong will have Texas ready, that's for sure.

You are an idiot... South Florida wasn't even bowl eligible that year. UT will be a in a bowl game and is going to have a salty Defense. Damn.

Charlie Strong is a very solid coach and will turn Texas around. He simply needs some time. This is a good opportunity for a very good Irish team to show its stuff against a good Texas team.

I don't think Texas is going to be very good. I will be bummed if we don't beat them by at least 2 Tds.

A very good, 4th ranked in one poll, should beat a good team by at least two touchdowns.

Would you care to share who participated in the Sports Illustrated poll and how it figures into the BCS ranking?

This should be fun......

Dear Lord, you are hopeless.

BCS Ranking??

Am I missing some reference here?
Or is this post really as dumb as it appears to be?

You should have stayed in hiding. Your Jameis Winston settlement post was among the dumbest lying efforts ever attempted here. I'm guessing you've spent days searching to no avail...

Let me clarify things for you. There are polls that contribute to the BCS standings. Those would polls would be important.

Do you know which ones do that?

Let me repeat my question.

Would you care to share who participated in the Sports Illustrated poll and how it figures into the BCS ranking?

bodi's # 1 opinion has equal value....

Holy crap!!
Are you hammered or are you just pulling my leg here?

Because there is no way a living, breathing person is this stupid. I mean, this post shows you approaching troglodyte levels.

1.) No polls contribute to BCS standing...because BCS standing doesn't exist and it hasn't for over a year

2.) you're whole ranting point is totally meaningless because without the BCS arbitrarily choosing which polls to include, all 'fan' polls are now equal

3.) the SI poll is now just as valid as any espn poll, coaches poll, media poll, etc...
Meaning they're totally meaningless

4.) nothing matters but the opinion of the playoff committee nownow

I should have used past tense so shoot me.

That does not negate my point that there were 2 polls that contributed to the BCS: AP and the USA Today Coaches poll.

So, what SI is/was calling a poll is worthless as it has/had no bearing on the national picture. .

Again, you disregard my salient question,

"Would you care to share who participated in the Sports Illustrated poll?"

In addition, you stated that Jameis Winston financially settled his situation and that "revelation" was a flat out lie.

Were you dropped on your head as a child or something?

NO POLL, NONE AT ALL, CONTRIBUTES DIRECTLY TO DETERMINING THE CFB NATIONAL CHAMPION
(The decision is entirely up to the playoff committee)

That completely and totally negates your "point", as thhe SI poll has just as much validity and impact as the coaches poll and the AP poll

Your attempt to discount it just because it has ND ranked very highly has absolutely no basis

Just to make it clear for you

By your own logic (all polls that don't contribute to the national picture are worthless) the SI poll has exactly the same value as the AP Poll, Coaches Poll, UPI Poll, ESPN rankings, etc.

Just admit you were wrong, our "point" was stupid, and that you never should have posted in this read at all

Then just move on and try not to embarrass yourself any further

Well, that's not entirely true. For instance, the AP and Coaches poll have been around a long time and were considered significant enough that they were used to help "mold" the national picture.

It's amazing that you can't understand the distinction (significance) between those 2 polls and others.

The fact, as I have accurately pointed out, is that the AP and Coaches poll were the 2 polls used in the BCS formula making them relevant to the CFB landscape.

In addition, I am guessing that Committee members may use those polls in addition to other information to help formulate their opinions as the season progresses. They'd be foolish not to.

My point stands, my tense was wrong....

The SI poll was schlock journalism used to sell magazines.

PS It's nice how you are still avoiding answering my basic question about who participated in the SI poll..... Again, would you care to define who Sports Illustrated polled?
In addition, your take on Winston's settlement was some serious fabrication. How did you come up with that?

cgvr is so dumb he can't even admit when he is wrong. The SI Poll is just as valid as anything else. Just like your S-Hole buddy Mo1e points to ONE poll where FSU's SOS was better than ND's and refuses to recognize the vast majority of polls which show ND's SOS stronger you and he lie by omission. Maybe you are proud of Jumbo and Winston. too! We know you also call Kelly a murderer like that pig.

Good morning Epic, dubs, argus or whoever else you might be today.

You wrote: "The SI Poll is just as valid as anything else."

Now, please tell me who participated in formulating this SI "poll".

I'm guessing you don't know..... If it's so valid surely you can answer that.....

First of all you calling ANYONE s-hole is the height of hypocrisy. Just ask the majority of ND fans posting at this site who they think is the biggest s-hole to ever post here. Trust me .... You win by a landslide.

More hypocrisy when spouting off about anyone picking a poll that supports their opinion and ignoring all the rest. You are Rivals wide famous for doing just that consistently. It's you who picked the only and most disrespected poll for determining SOS last year. The overwhelming number of polls and Power Ratings had FSU rated higher than ND. You conveniently left them out.

Funny how you are touting the SI preseason ranking calling it "reasonable" in light of the fact that it sticks out like a sore thumb when compared to all the rest of the polls. Using your reasonable description of SI I suppose we can consider the Vegas ranking (since it's all about the money) just as reasonable as any. Your words....... Vegas ranks ND at 22 has four teams on their schedule ranked higher and expects ND to lose three.

That said your lies do you no favors. Then again, you can't get any more disrespected than you already are. You have nothing to lose by lying. Keep up the great work.

PS Hearing that the NCAA hammer may swing real hard...from campus today... '12 and '13 w's in jeopardy...hope it's wrong....

You really don't get it, do you?
It's amazing that you're able to be this dense but still be able to type

The AP poll and coaches poll have ABSOLUTELY NO RELEVANCE in today's CFB national landscape...and they certainly don't have anyone relevance than another poll (such as the SI poll)

I get that you want to try to invalidate this poll, but your logic holds that just because just because the UPI poll was used to claim MNCs in the past bat it's more relevant than others today...and that same point would then extend to every tiny old poll used to claims dozens of MNCs

The reality is that the SI poll is every by as valid as the AP poll and the Coaches poll

Again, you've just continued to show your complete lack of knowledge in this thead

Admit you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, never should have put up the is stink, and go away to hide for a while

I feel bad for how youve made itself look here

It wouldn't matter if it was a poll of a bunch of nuns, it's just as relevant, valid, and significant as very other poll....some how you can't get that through your head...it's embarrassing

As is, SI is just as respected as ESPN, so any poll they'd it out (while actually meaningless) is fairly viewed by most to have similar credibility

Your lack of real knowledge couldn't be more obvious than by you point to the coaching poll for accuracy/credibility
If you knew anything you wouldn't do that, as it's almost exclusively filled out by GAs and admin assistants who are specifically directed to domain with an agenda in mind

You rally just need to admit how pathetic your thoigh process, knowledge, and overall "point" has been in this thread and quietly move on
