and if UT loses close in SECCG they may remain ahead of ND.They have zero good wins. That would be very surprising

That would be more likely than the other scenario. But not for certain either.and if UT loses close in SECCG they may remain ahead of ND.
Yep, I'm inclined to agree if you're commenting on the committee's thoughts rather than ours. Always an important distinction! Thanks for the response. I was speaking more to the committee’s own logic rather than what you or I think. Georgia’s remaining games are Massachusetts and Georgia Tech who ND beat soundly. So it would be hard to justify the committee then turning around and bumping them ahead of ND according to their own rankings.
Thoughts?
And watch for them to potentially bump Georgia or Alabama ahead of ND this week because they know what we discussed.Yep, I'm inclined to agree if you're commenting on the committee's thoughts rather than ours. Always an important distinction!
5 or 6 gets us the 2nd round matchup with ACC or B12, correct?6 tomorrow and 5 the week after because the loser of OSU Ind will be below us
Week after Osu Ind
Oregon
OSU (assume they beat Ind)
Tex
Ped state
ND
Final ranking
1. Big
2. SEC
3. Acc
4. B12
5. Loser of big 10 champ
6. Ped state if we don't jump them
7. ND (lowest ranking if we win out)
5 to 7 will be our final ranking very likely
A podcaster was saying they should live stream their deliberations. I completely agree. There’s a lot on the line with these rankings and the committee should be an open book.I don't have much trust in the committee either this year. And I'm one of the few who thinks they have generally done a great job over these past 10 years. Too many inconsistencies in their rankings this year, though. I get the sense that different people in the room are using different criteria and each week just depends on who happens to be the loudest voice.
The committee doesn’t owe ongoing discussions to anyone, IMO.A podcaster was saying they should live stream their deliberations. I completely agree. There’s a lot on the line with these rankings and the committee should be an open book.
The loss to Northern Illinois will keep Notre Dame behind 9-1, 10-1, or 11-1 Penn State, IMO.Penn St ranking wont hold. Their best win is Illinois. Just cant see them holding a top 6 spot with that bad of a resume.
Why?The committee doesn’t owe ongoing discussions to anyone, IMO.
Why would they? Why would anyone agree to that? There is no purpose other than to open yourself up to criticism from fan bases. You can explain yourself after the rankings are posted. Why?
That’s the idea. People already criticize them. A 5 minutes interview with the AD who presided over the cheaters at Michigan doesn’t suffice. It would be nice to hear a voters thoughts on why specifically they voted the way they did.Why would they? Why would anyone agree to that? I think its a great idea, but then boosters would know who had the most influence in these rankings/deliberations and would know the person to target with bribes lolA podcaster was saying they should live stream their deliberations. Good point haha. At least have everyone submit their top 25 prior to deliberations or something.I think its a great idea, but then boosters would know who had the most influence in these rankings/deliberations and would know the person to target with bribes lol
