Army - CFP

Well, I have to go to a surprise birthday party at 6 p.m. Saturday, which means I can't watch the game. And that means I'll be peeking at my phone all night long, which means that this game is going to be agonizing, with ND eking out a 24-17 victory or something like that. Before you scoff at me, you should know that I've had to miss more games than I'd care to admit to over the past 20 years, and almost every time, it has come down to the wire. This year, I missed the second half of NIU and the fourth quarter of Louisville.
I wouldn’t attend.

Talk about nonsense. Army has their best victory against mighty East Carolina. They haven't played ANYONE. Sure maybe if they had one so so SEC team on their schedule and the stars aligned perfectly they could pull an upset. Nearly impossible for them to win more than one game against an SEC schedule. 1-7 at best.
You forgot about the vaunted Lehigh Mountain Hawks at 7-3.

The only way I would miss a game is a death in the family or my kids wedding. I would start feeling under the weather saturday morning, LOL.

Yep, I think Navy is better than Army IMO (maybe no last few weeks) but I thought they were clearly better rolling into our game.

Interesting. Maybe the competition is weak, they lead the nation in just about every defensive stat even bettering ND. Their OL is up for the Joe Moore award.

I hope you’re right! I will never forget 93, BC, cruising into our 2nd natty. Then we were not. Let’s hope they are not thinking about USC!

Army is undefeated and ranked… they should be focused. They are well coached but not athletic, they have a tough stud qb that more physical than fast. Need the dline to disrupt him

Stop. It should be a blow out. ND has far more talent than Army.

They won't be on Tuesday, November 26th at approximately 8:05 PM EST.
Good. That means ND wins, that's what you want or no?

If they win the AAC, they will be ranked in the top 25 when the Final rankings come out

If ND loses tonight it would be almost as bad as the loss to NIU. ND should blow the doors off Army.

My fear is this game takes an emotional and physical toll going long into the night and they are not fully ready next week. USC has a very emotional game this week though. 2 in a row for them.

Stop. Alabama has far more talent than Vandy....oh wait uh oh
Yes, and last I checked the GOAT was no longer coaching Alabama.

ND also has far more talent than NIU. It doesn't excuse the horrific loss to a crappy team
like NIU.

FPI thinks higher of ND (has them ranked #4) than F+ does and FPI has NDs chances at "winning out" (based on their 20,000 simulations) at 58% (that's only a bit better than a coin flip)

I'd like that number to be a bit higher considering the competition in these next 2 games isn't all that great but it is what it is

USC is going to be a tougher game than Army. It's at USC, a rivalry game, and USC can play spoiler and end ND's playoff aspirations. USC has a lot to play for. The things your little mind can't comprehend because you only look at computer models. Army does as well, but let's be realistic, the talent disparity is enormous. Army played no one of significance, ND should win this by a wide margin.

That is how you get ranked.
Today we are going to see how good Army and Indiana really are. However, Indiana has played a much tougher schedule than Army.

Army is ranked and tulane is ranked
So if they were to beat us and Tulane then what are you going to say?
History is replete with examples of the contrast between talent and a team.
Than I would say congrats Army, and Freeman is not the man for the job. Another loss to a G5 team does not nor should cut it at ND.

Every team
Concerns me. Maybe that’s just the football coach in me.
I leave that up to the coaches to have the team ready to go. If they have the team focused and ready to go, this game shouldn't be close, but again that's on the coaches not me.
