Carr is Irish!

Lol
I just feel it’s not as good as everyone thinks. Again, if this young man was from Florida or some other State, I would probably be as excited as you guys. But this is a player from my backyard, I know a lot about high school football in Michigan.

But hopefully I am wrong and you guys are right.

Let’s see how he plays this season in the playoffs. Saline will roll through Conferance play so the playoffs will show how good he really is. My Guess they exit 2nd round.
Wouldn't that mean the players around him are not very good then? So he's performing this well with average players around him. Impressive

Bama offered a total of 8 quarterbacks in 2023....and so far, 6 in 24. Thats not exactly dishing out candy. While an offer isn't a final deal...its pretty exclusive. Nick Saban doesn't waste his time...because he doesn't have to....and he offered CJ Carr. Why would he do that?

Kirby Smart as well.

Again, watch the film. Compare the size of his WRs and Oline to the competition.

this is a link to the Saline team Hudl/film.

He has a 6’6 4 star Wr/TE https://www.hudl.com/profile/11740077/Dylan-Mesman

6’2 225 TE/WR https://www.hudl.com/profile/9771089/Tate-Bezeau

His team is loaded!!! Which is great!!!! The issue is the comp has no one to match up against Saline. However, when the playoffs come they get beat fast.

Opinions are like Belly Buttons, everyone has one. We can all revisit this in 2026 and decide if 88 or the rest of the CFB world is right.

You will see a glimpse this season when he and his team struggles in the playoffs

There are probably 500 teams in a state, most dont make the playoffs. If they even get to the playoffs he must be good. My entire 4 years in highschool we never sniffed the playoffs. Then we got a new coach, now they are one of the favorites to win every year. Also much more to football than one player.

Zorich 88 avoided this.

Come on Zorich, at least offer some sort of spin.

Coaches/recruiters get it wrong every year on every team. Look at the NFL talent evaluators. They continuously get it wrong. But they also get it right so….
40%-43% hits on recruits is actually pretty good; but you need to play somebody regardless of talents.

Moore is not a superstar. He has a good arm. He sees the field well and is technically sound. Not a great threat to run but not a statue either. JMO but he does not finish as a 5*. Carr is a comparable QB. It is a crap shoot trying to predict kids this close in talents.

Moore will definitely be a 5 star

No. An Elite arm is an Elite arm regardless of competition. While he doesn’t have a cannon for an arm, he has above average arm strength and he’s fitting throws pretty effortlessly into tight windows. Look at his footwork and pocket presence. It’s very good. Especially for a Sophmore in HS.

I'm with you on this point. CJ's footwork is really good. His release is quick and his accuracy is simply elite. Not only does he deliver the ball accurately, he invariably puts the ball in a spot where the receiver has the best chance of pulling down the catch. You either have those abilities or you don't, and CJ has them. I also love how he is always looking downfield to make a play when his protection breaks down. Whether you play on a team where your receivers can all run a sub 4.4 40 or on a team where your fastest receiver runs a 4.9 40, if you can deliver the ball accurately to either one of them, what does that tell you? It says you have a QB with an elite arm, and the level of competition really doesn't change that. And when you consider we are seeing those things on tape from CJ's sophomore year in HS, that is pretty mind blowing. I guess we'll see how this plays out in a few years, but I am really pretty excited about this commitment.

Zorich 88 disagrees.

Moore is lighting up at this weeks camp; hmmm, maybe this a a real deal kid. He will not lose a star off this camp! This kid is just technically very sound. He certainly excels in the camp formats.

CJ and Moore are great young men. I have seen both of them in person since 7th grade. Moore is definitely ahead of CJ. What’s funny is they both started out class of 2023 and for strictly athletic purposes CJ was reclassified in 8th grade. They are the same age.

Way over the top, and flat-out false.

Agree or disagree with the CJ take (I disagree), Zorich is a main-stay on the board. The guy contributes and brings good conversation here consistently.

Why is it not OK to have an opinion? Nothing Zorich said was disrespectful or out of line.

I’d like both. I think Moore might be ahead, but remember, regardless of age, Dante has more film and more game experience. CJ has very good footwork, appears a little more athletic. Hard to gauge who better, but if Moore beat him at a camp, I wouldn’t be surprised. Who will succeed at the next level? I like CJ’s personality, which is a vastly underrated trait. I don’t know enough about Dante to comment. I’d like both. Is that too greedy?

Might be a crazy question, but how would you compare CJ to Arch Manning?

To me, Arch would be wise to pick a school he has a good shot at playing at. CJ is perfect height at 6'2.5. No idea about Arch's leadership ability. CJ seems legit as he lit up Irish Invasion with his personality. Arch is probably pretty great in this regard and likely has his shit together based on his family. I think the better question is who is better between Dante, Arch, and CJ. My answer, just based on watching tape, would be 1. Dante. 2. Carr. 3. Arch. But remember, CJ has less experience. Dante is really good and beat Nico in the 7on7. I think he's better than Arch. However, CJ comes off as the higher upside college QB along with Arch, to me. I think Longevity favors the Manning and Carr family.

Hard ti belive anybody named Carr who lives less than 40 miles fron Ann Arbor and has strong meat chicken ties family wide commited to ND. His grand father was a legend at Michigan. This has to frosten their little well no what. If ND gets DM than Harbaugh might be looking for the a cliff to jump off of

ND is NOT in the top 3 for Dante Moore.

Carr and Swain both made jumps in the Rivals rankings.

So much for that conspiracy nonsense

In his Mailbag column today, Sampson said he would bet on Carr reclassifying.

Wonder how ‘23 will rank him. Likely 4 star composite. Hard to say.

I beg to differ. The irish are top 3 behind Oregon abd tied with mich
Top 3? I am reminded of the '73 Belmont Stakes...the top three horses were Secretariat...then 30 lengths later...umm..what's his name....and then the other....um, well.....

I hope he decommits. Not just bc I’m angry, but bc ND doesn’t value student athletes. I don’t know CJ but if I was his dad, even as a ND fan, I’d tell him to go to Michigan. They have a program in his hometown that does what it takes to compete, values student athletes, and values fans. I hate Michigan, but denying that they’re a better program with better admin, better coaches, better facilities, and similar academic reputation is to deny reality. ND is now a bitch of the Midwest and will get worse. Think recruiting is going to stay good with Parker? Think again. Reality is going to sink in fast.

Didn’t he offer Drew Pyne?

I dont think Parker is bad. It's just not what the HC wanted from the start. I hear that Carr likes Parker btw

Lol, why are your panties always so bunched?

Mich sucked just 18 months ago, your own words …Mich got boat raced like ND did in the playoff in 2021, and lost to frigging TCU in 2022, who then lost by 60.

Mich just fired a coach for a felony, replaced another, is being investigated by the NCAA, and Harbie won’t cooperate with NCAA, settled for a half billion $$ for their former sports doctor, had fights in their tunnel with 3 separate teams, named their third OC in four years, one of which bashed them when he left….and that is just a start. Their academic performance out of their athletes is as good as the WH press secretary’s resume; their admin had to lie when Harbie when interviewing…

Your posts are consistently inaccurate and full of butt hurt . Time for you to get a new handle
