Been on the road since early this morning, and just checked in here. Pleasantly surprised to read that BVG has been fired. Some will call this scapegoating, but the BVG hire proved to be a huge mistake, and not firing him last year compounded this mistake. The hire and keeping BVG into this season are on Kelly. Wrote before that young men need to know there is accountability, and BVG had to be held to account. Too late for this season, but I expect the players will feel liberated to just play the damn game, and they will hopefully show emotion and urgency. As I wrote a few weeks ago, this is an easy risk benefit decision, and it pissed me off that Kelly defended BVG, Last week and again this week. I'm going to enjoy a nice scotch and celebrate.
