There is Davis, Robertson, and Kelly left that are huge recruits and could really change our program for the next 3-4 years. Unfortunately when you look at our history of landing top 10 recruits, Davis and Robertson, we have had little success. Over the past 15 years we have had a total of 2 which were Clausen and Jaylon. Obviously Clausen didn't turn out to be a super star but he was good overall at ND and of course Jaylon was one of our best LB's ever. Kelly isn't in the top 10, I think he is ranked like 14, but he looks legit and I would be happy to land him regardless of his ranking.

Hopefully we can get 1 of these players because each is desperately needed. If we can land 2 I think it will be one of our top classes in 30 years, especially if no big recruits get hurt or transfer which has plagued ND these past 6 seasons. I know some on here are critical of coach Kelly but if you look at the big time players who have transferred, not to mention the injuries, he has done a great job. Also the people who dislike Kelly never look at his QB situation and act like he has had a Heisman candidate in the backfield each year. He may the next couple, let's all hope, but up until now he really did the best with what little he had.

Anyway I am definitely hopeful and trying think positive about NSD but sometimes I get caught up in the hype from the Blue and Gold articles and forget about reality. It has been a good recruiting year and if we don't land any of the above kids we will probably stay in the top 10. I think Bama, USC, UCLA, Florida, Clemson and maybe 1-2 other schools have a good chance of jumping us. Regardless this is going to be a big day for our program and coach Kelly's next cycle.

there won't be any defections; and the 3 prime targets will possibly or likely go beyond next week.

Tuesday may in fact be rather uneventful. Sleep late, Then have your coffee and prunes while watching Kelly and Michael.

I think Vanderdoes was a top 10. (then disaster struck)

Te'o was up there too....

I believe all 3 are making their announcements that day aren't they? Of course kids can always change their minds and we know how that feels considering some of our best recruits ended up changing their minds after joining the Irish. Either way hopefully we can get a good pick up and this class not only stays together but stays healthy.
