honestly, this will probably happen every year. what is this 5 or 6 now?

It's not funny but it is effective. Eddie McDoom is a UM silent commit which means probably no room at the Inn for Nate Johnson either. You guys should be glad.

It is the style of a douchebag, scum. Harbaugh is a lowlife. I can only hope that his wife a kids find a guy who is a better husband and father.
That would be rather fitting.

I have to admit I have always hated O$U more than any other school. They have the worst fans and nothing but lowlifes coaching and as players. I have always been ok with UM, they were in my top 5 favorite schools, but now... this is not the UM that I know and if the fans and administration are ok with "win at all costs" then I hope Meyer keeps kicking the crap out of them

Rom, you seem like a pretty level headed guy. You know this doesn't look good at all for Michigan recruiting going forward. Maybe Harbaugh wants to go to the USC Pete Carroll model, where you only have six commitments the week before signing day and you are banking on a bunch of kids committing at the end, instead of locking kids up early. The difference is that USC owned southern California in that era, and it's just about impossible for Michigan to own it's area, being surrounded by Ohio State, MSU and ND.

ND is waiting to see if recruits will come - Michigan is turning them away at the door - amazing how quickly Hardballs has changed the vibe around that program.

Michigan would want the guys we are waiting on just as much as we do.

Like most here, I think JH is a great recruiter and there's no arguing with the success he has had as a coach. If he is your coach, you love him - if not, you hate him. All that said, I work with a guy who is a part-time contractor to the UM athletic department. He claims Weaver got a waiver to visit other schools, despite his commitment, back in November. His point being that Weaver didn't in fact "just" find out about this. Who knows - just sharing.

Thank you. I think the perception is unseemly for UM, true. But remember this: we are only hearing one side of story as coaches can't comment on players at this point. Also, it has had ZERO impact on other recruits. We've had 4 verbals this week, we expect to get one today in Khaleke Hudson, Eddie McDoom is a presumed silent, and Jordan Fuller is trending UM. So while we can all shake our heads, there is irrefutable proof Harbaugh knows what he's doing.

Harbaugh most likely has some serious mental issues, probably a chemical imbalance of some sort. Noone would want their coach sleeping over at recruits homes, taking their shirt off and playing touch football, and climbing trees on recruiting visits. Its disturbing and creepy. But Michigan wants to win at all costs so as long as the results are there the ends will justify the means. They'd be screaming "What is that clown doing?!" if it was Hoke or Richrod doing this and going .500.

Clearly David Long and Connor Murphy's parents and coaches don't subscribe to your theory.

How hard were you guys pressing for the Texas center, Jake Raulerson , who graduated in 3 years and is now headed to UCLA?

I read on another site that you guys were in the mix for him.

Also, is Harbaugh working any graduated senior transfers? What does the QB position look like?

PS If Harbaugh senses an ounce of disloyalty you're done.....

At least twice in one recruiting cycle will hurt the skunkbears in the future. Obviously a commitment from Mich is worthless and when mr. khakipants jumps for the NFL in a couple of years then your screwed as a recruit.

We have the former starter from Houston competing for the QB job. Most think he is in the lead and our five star freshman will redshirt. We should have more depth than we did in 2015.

Whatever happened to that all-world kid that they called Rocket Shark, or something like that? Did he just fade away?

There is irrefutable proof that Harbaugh is a short-term solution. He has not lasted anywhere he has landed, and that will follow suit here. You seem totally stuck in the moment. The problem with what he is doing now, it is the effect it will have on these schools, these kids teammates, and these coaches down the road.

See a trend here?

Let's talk in three years. The fact is, he loses to OSU again like that, and he is booted. Otherwise he heads back to the NFL of his own volition. The guy is interested in the success of Jim Harbaugh, and nothing else.

Wishful thinking. None of those prior stops were in the city he was raised, went to college and graduated. Harbaugh will likely be at UM a very long while and I'm willing to wager you or anyone he outlasts Meyer at OSU, Dantonio at MSU or Kelly at ND. Put your money where your mouth is, I will. I will also gladly predict Harbaugh will not break any NCAA rules along the way (though he will press some of them) and that UM will be a constant threat to be a playoff participant.

I remember people saying the same thing about Pitino at Louisville 16 years ago and Calipari at UK 9 years ago. Both guys were vagabonds, both found homes at epic programs. Hate to ruin your day, but Jim's not going anywhere.

As for the OL Raulerson, yes UM recruited him very hard and lost out to UCLA. Apparently Raulerson said he could not be guaranteed a spot in the Ross School of Business at UM.

Yes Hardballs is right at home in that dump - 0 for Bo - remember that cat said he played for the Big since he could never win a NC - what a legend! LOL's I'm sure Jimmy deflated a few balls in his day - probably with his lips. 31-0

Anytime someone plays the ridiculous "31-0" card I have to respond in kind: 4 of past 6. 24-17-1. 38-0, 38-0, Pinstripe Bowl, Sun Bowl, Music Sh!tty Bowl etcetera etcetera etcetera. Grow up already.

Again, because Harbaugh can't develop his own QB after being there a year? Next year will make it two seasons with someone that got to their level by being coached by someone else.

Not a good precedent to have when it comes to recruiting high school players for that position. In the long run, that (along with pulling scholarship offers) will be two things used against him by other schools. And, he deserves it.

Go hold your breath in the MUTC quarry - quit trying to defend that dirt bag and just be happy you have him. 31-0 - he who laughs last laughs loudest !!!

your wolverines can have McDoom romulator as our irish are trending for a bigger fish that Michigan never had a shot at in GA 5 star WR Robertson

Didn't Harbaugh recruit a physical monster QB out of Texas? (FR last year)

If I recall correctly the kid is like Ben R. Who's the Houston kid?

Laughs last? How'd bowl season go for ND? Did you see the final coaches poll (Harbaughs first year)? Have you seen the latest recruiting rankings? Laugh's last...I'm laughing.

He's a kick ass coach and their are plenty of 49er players beyond pissed. 3 straight NFC championship games and one Super Bowl appearance.... He took over a 6-10 49er team and immediately went 13-3 winning NFL Coach of the Year honors. (11-4-1, 12-4, 8-8). He's won major college bowls as a player and coach... He turned Stanford from a 1-11 disaster into a 12-1 Orange Bowl winner in 4 years... He established a physical brand at Stanford that continues and I envy....

I'm guessing that he will eventually turn this young man into an All American...

Jim Harbaugh flips four-star quarterback from Texas to Michigan
Zach Gentry is the first Michigan quarterback commitment under new coach Jim Harbaugh.

Gentry, a 6-6, 230-pound quarterback from Albuquerque, N.M. (Eldorado High School) switched his commitment from Texas to Michigan.

ok...before anyone crows about the UM class- w/o Gary - the UM class compared to the ND class is pretty much undecided. Most posters here know I focus on the ratings of the potential starters, those with RR>5.8 and then those who are 6.0 or greater.

This one ain't over.

I saw the final coaches poll in 1997. They had Nebraska #1

When is Jim Harbaugh going to finally win a championship as a coach? When he is 70 ?

He has more major bowl wins than kelly as a player. He also has more as a coach.

He also has an NFC Championship....

Guess what place he finished in the Heisman voting...

Second place is not a championship except for losers. The super bowl winner is the only thing that matters in pro football. And Harbaugh is a Loser.

You asked,
"When.is Jim Harbaugh going to finally win a championship as a coach?"
I accurately answered that question. Is it your suggestion that he did not win the "NFC Championship"? Is it your suggestion that he wasn't the head coach of an Orange Bowl championship team? Shall we discuss his major bowl championship as a player?
He has won major bowls as a player and coach. He has made NFL history as a head coach.

Please tell me one thing that our little porker has done that eclipses Harbaugh's resume'.....
