Angeli gives them the best chance to win

Rumor has it that she threw a tight spiral!

Would have gone 1st round if her Broadway career had not taken off!

Yeah even after I win this board is a bunch of assholes. I'm sure the majority of the people thought the same thing I thought at the end of the first half. Riley Leonard did nothing and Angeli produced. The whole Penn State defensive scheme was designed to stop the run and stop Leonard. Who knows maybe we score 40 points in the second half with Angeli as the quarterback. Don't forget he once started a bowl game and had outstanding numbers. However I'm glad things worked out the way they did obviously so obviously I acknowledge that I was probably wrong in my assessment

Yeah, well, we're not going to bench RL. So give it up, I don't care what the peanut gallery was thinking. Could you imagine that? It's not an injury, he had to leave because of the protocol concussion, I think, but he was fine, he's not injured. And then we just leave him out. And he stays on the bench. Biggest game of the year, one of the biggest games in recent ND history, in the modern ESPN era for ND football. Angeli admirably steps in and helps get us a FG to give us a spark, and then we just roll with him for the rest of the game.

I guess if we still ended up winning it would have been awesome, a great story. But of course we're not going to do that.

Haha something Golson has never done, batting 100. Couple things:

1/ I thought Angeli gave this team the best chance to win from the get go and still do - as in starting early, not now.
2/ Credit MF for not panicking, and sticking with his guy.. would have pulled him at half time after the backup went 6/7 and scored the only points of the half.
3/ The fact Angeli has 14 snaps on the season compared to 14 games, would have been foolish to yank RL.
4/ Riley had the intangibles, something I preach about all the time. Guy finds a way and I’m onboard

1. Yeah you can say that all day every day. You'll still be wrong every time.

That's all

Yea, you don’t know that for sure.. the D/running game has carried this team. RL a big piece of that running game but imagine the running game with the threat of a passing game.

You can say RL is a 1st round pick all day ever day. You’d be wrong every time.

That’s all

14 and 1 and in the NC game.

This offensive line needs a a QB with mobility. Angeli wouldn't have made it the whole season with our OL. This offense needs the threat of a running QB or it doesn't work.

The coaches have agreed with my opinion all year long, 15 games.

That's all

The time for that was long ago. You don't just throw the guy in to the national championship game unless there is an injury. Of course you could always put him in for a series or two to throw off the D.

I said this earlier. Based on my observations, I believe Notre Dame would have been 11-1 or 10-2 with Steve Angeli playing QB during the regular season, and I heavily lean 11-1.

Riley Leonard is the best option, Steve Angeli can play effectively as well.

I remember Florida alternating QBs with Tebow and another guy. Might have been Tebow's sophomore year.

I'm a fan of Angeli, but you ride and die with Leonard. If Leonard gets injured and you have no choice you bring Angeli in. It would be a dumb move to start or bring in Angeli if Leonard is struggling.

Will be interesting to see come April if RL goes round 1!

No. I have watched the NFL Playoffs all weekend. Doesn't throw the football nearly well enough. That said, I am a huge fan of the guy.

It's okay to say you were wrong. Steve isn't the best option for this team. The coaches have spoken.

Also, I'll say this again and for the last time because 1. Who cares and 2. It's irrelevant. But I never said Riley Leonard was going to be picked in the 1st round. I said he was a 1st rd talent. He has 1st rd size body and mobility and leadership. He didn't develop the final part of his game I thought he would have although I still think he could if he was able to come back next year

Leonard sacrificed some of his pro prospects by coming to ND, which I’m sure he’s more than okay with.

We would have been able to see him toss the ball around more in 2023 with Alt and Fisher as the tackles although the receivers are better this year.

I thank him for coming to ND.

Mike Denbrock developed Jayden Daniels into a first round talent, and it is not on Denbrock that Riley Leonard is not a first day NFL Draft QB.

Nothing wrong with simply being a really good CFB QB.

I'm sure this will be taken out of context like people usually do.. Riley Leonard is not nearly as good as Jayden Daniels. But let's look at something here.

Jayden Daniels' 1st year with Denbrock (with 2 NFL 1st rd WRs)

In 14 games

17 pass Tds 3 ints 2900 pass yards 68.6 % comp.

885 rush yards 11 tds 4.8 ypc

He would not have been drafted in the 1st round either if he didn't get the covid year and get an extra year that RL will not get

Well, then I am certain NFL GM's will see these same statistics and draft Riley Leonard really high on the first day, simply based on potential.

Daniels wouldn't have gone high after his 1st year with Denbrock and either will Riley. Unfortunately the ncaa won't pass the 5 year rule until after he is gone

And a 5th round arm.

And maybe we don’t score any points and have more turnovers and lose the game !

Notre Dame has won 13 games in a row and you want to change the QB, in contradiction to the coaches decision

KEEP YOUR DAY JOB !
