A Georgia Fan's View

Bryce Ramsey was the kind of 2 for 2 that nobody wants to be.

Scares us to death. He is pretty mobile though. He did the same thing in a bowl game a couple years ago. He came in and immediately threw an interception on his first play. He is talented and has good arm strength, but I have to question his judgement at this point.

You boys be nice and don't hurt our Freshman QB. We need him for our run in the SEC.

I can't think of a year we started where there was so little excitement or interest over the season starting.

I've been over the top excited about these teams offensively for the last few years, this one more than ever. I think this is going to be one heck of a team and I'm over the top excited to see Wimbush. Also Wimbush with all his weapons on offense. So I disagree with you about the interest in season starting. At least from this fan.

It troubles me that Kelly didn't see the BVG problem earlier to fix it. But we only need a pretty good defense in order to win a lot of games, so this defense should give us at least that.

That said, Kelly has no excuse not to win.

Individual experiences certainly vary. But it took late push and an advertising campaign that extended to Chicago to sell out last week's game - on game day - in a newly revamped stadium that had over 3,000 FEWER tickets to sell.

IMO, that's a reflection of the collective interest. No doubt there were many good fans like you that were still interested. But IMO, the vibe has been relatively subdued. If there was the usual preseason buzz, I didn't hear it.

Well, Georgia looks to be really good. I am not sure we should play this game. But, there will be a lot of people showing up Saturday so I guess we will give it a shot.

In all seriousness, we both won the first week against teams we were supposed to beat fairly handily. GA had the better team resume carrying over from last year. ND gets home field advantage. We probably have similar talent across the board - although it can be very different position-by-position. Coaching - who knows??? Ga has a newer coach with a strong resume - ND has a more seasoned coach with ups and downs.

Most of us probably get the feeling that if it is a blowout, then team A is more likely but team B can only win if it is close. The same is true if it is high scoring or low scoring. For this game, GA is more of a known quantity and ND is the wild card. It is a tough one to figure out. Not sure this is a good one to bet on.

I say 24-17.
