With Zaire coming back, the play of Kizer and the 'potential' of Wimbush, I foresee a problem next season worse than OSU had this season! Miller was a natural transition to WR for OSU whereas all our QB's are QB's only!! I guess a good problem to have or will one transfer?

Lets hope one doesn't. Hopefully, they can sell Winbush on the idea of redshirting, but if Kizer wins out, Wimbush will be backup until he's a fifth year. Maybe ND's coaches can say, "look, you saw how Zaire went down in 2015. We plan to use the QB in the run game and there's a legit possibility Kizer goes down. You'll be the next man in."

ND quarterbacks always risk injury running the ball. I think they should all be allowed to play. If we can land another solid recruiting class then realistically any of the 3 guys can move the offense and win consistently.

Zaire will become a running back....that is the solution......everyone happy now....

Three great QBs on one team. That's a great problem to have. Just like Folston having to earn his starting job back. ND has depth on offense. DL needs players.

I was thinking the same thing!! He would be a good back
It is amazing how little you guys know about football zaire is not playing runningback he is the ND quarterback all that other talk is just stupid..and dumb. He will return even better and leas this team to a NC

If I had a gun to my head right now.

I would bet on Kizer transferring. He is more of the pocket passer, and Kelly prefers more of the dual threat. Kizer is doing much better than almost anyone expected.

I still say if Wimbush gets real time on the field this year (other than just a play here or there and in 30 point blow outs) then he will be number 2 come next year. Just way too much talent to bench for a year.

These are the best type of problems to have. I'd rather have these three guys and a potential transfer on our hands than Rees/Crist/Montana. Plus, it's only a problem for osu because as good as urban is, I think cardale was never as good as the hype (first round pick, really people?) and he picked the wrong guy.

Why the eff would Kizer be the one transferring??? As of right now, he's got more experience than Zaire.
And he's lead the team to a 6-1 record so far. Poised, calm, talented etc.

If this year continues as planned, Zaire will have his work cut out for him next year. The idea that he will walk
on the field next year and automatically be the #1 QB is laughable. Kizer isn't going anywhere.

One of the biggest problems is the fact that Wimbush and KIzer are now the same class re yrs eligible to play - big problem .Only way to keep both is to have a two QB system otherwise it's sayonara to one of these kids and hope like hell the new kid coming in is legit in three years or recruit a super for 2018

Where all of this leaves Zaire is a question for Basil Rathbone -- see Holmes

I'm not that worried about it. BK has shown he can work with any QB, the guy's record with rs fr QB's is like 17-1 or something. Whatever happens, ND will be fine.

Lets play all 3 of them at the same time - Kelly could get really creative in the passing and QB running games.

Wimbush is the best of the 3...

Maybe potential wise, but in terms of actually playing in a college game Kizer has proven to be the best of the 3. Therefore, going into the off season in my opinion the starting job, barring a Golson like collapse, should be Kizer's to lose.

What sticks in my mind is when Kelly told Zaires family that the QB position will be waiting for him when he gets healthy. If he goes back on his word (whether justified or not), I think Zaire and his family will feel deceived and he will transfer. Wimbush has the bigger upside but needs experience. I can see a two QB system with Kizer and Zaire because they are two different types of QB's and it will keep Zaire in the fold. One thing about Zaire...he is a leader that the team respects so that will play into the decision making by Kelly. Wimbush is very similar to Kizer except he is a better runner but not as good a runner as Zaire. It would be sad to see Wimbush transfer but a 2 QB system with Kizer and Zaire makes the most sense. .

It provides competition for the team. The spring game in 2016 maybe the best ND has had in the last 20 plus years. There will be talent and competition at every position on offense except for maybe right tackle and the guard positions. Hopefully everyone is healthy by then that should be. The more competitive the practice the better the product is on the field.

Easy there cowboy. We will see a definite drop in talent. The OL should be fine but we have holes to fill. Stanley leaving will hurt a little but there is so much depth and talent there I am not worried. I am more concerned about the skill positions and defense. IMO, we will lose:

Jaylon Smith
Sheldon Day
Ronnie Stanley
Nick Martin
Will Fuller
CJ Prosise
Grace (probably should have more playing time instead of Schmidt)
Farley (Whenever you see a big play against the defense you can usually see Farley somewhere near the scene of the crime))
Carlisle (Not a big loss)

Who am I missing?
