They moved up 2 when they lost to nd, and moved up 2 after destroying the number 10 team in the country. They do have 3 losses. So the cfp committee is saying in this case that the number of losses is more important than the eye test. Bc watching nc this weekend they certainly looked like a top 10 team regardless.

Years past there was something on tv or streaming online to watch all morning on national signing day is there not this year?

Ok folks, tomorrow is National Signing Day, and I wanted to break down the recruits by which time zone they are in. Next to the time zone is the time they're allowed to sign.

How tomorrow works is that the recruits will "e-sign" at 7am their local time and then some have a signing ceremony. Others don't have a ceremony, such as Tyler Buchner who will be throwing in Los Angeles and Rocco Spindler who is hunting in Texas. The kids have their electronic signing, which then allows ND to announce them, and then I believe they sign more papers to fax/whatever in to Notre Dame.

Names that are in bold below are players that are on the fence heading into NSD.

As the Irish prepare for the ACC Championship meeting versus Clemson this Saturday, 191 tests of players through Sunday produced only one positive test, and nobody is in quarantine.

- I am told that Audric Estime won't be signing tomorrow, but he has left the option open for Thursday or Friday. Notre Dame still has another day or two to try to get Estime signed this week. He is committed to Michigan State, but I've said on a number of occasions that I'd be shocked if he signed with the Spartans this week. A number of new schools have reached out to Estime in the past few weeks, and waiting to sign in Feb. would give him the opportunity to weigh his options more and visit Notre Dame.

- Still no word on Logan Diggs. Our LSU rivals site has FutureCast picks in for the Tigers to land another running back recruit, but LSU will still have room for Diggs. But still, that can't sit well with Diggs, who was upset Notre Dame is going after a second back, while Diggs would be the third in the class at LSU. I reported earlier in the day that Diggs had really positive talks with ND lately, but I haven't received indication yet that he's made a final decision, and he could skip the early period altogether.

- I am expecting Prince Kollie to stick with Notre Dame. "Mature" is a word I hear a lot when it comes to Kollie, and after the initial shock, he is understanding the big picture here. Kollie still hasn't come to a final call yet, but he did speak with Brian Kelly and Nick Lezynski today, and I'm told those conversations went very well. Kollie will sleep on it and I believe he'll sign this week.

- Hearing Donovan Edwards to Michigan but haven't dug too hard on that one because I would be shocked if it's ND. Putting my priorities on the other guys.

Notre Dame needs to join the ACC Full time in my opinion. ACC overall is a really good all around sports conference and some really good (not UNC) Academic schools also. I believe it's gonna be another great game.

Nothing groundbreaking to report right now but with four recruits still undecided the day before NSD, I figure you guys are just dying for updates.

LB Prince Kollie: Still liking ND to hold on here. He's talking with Lezynski and Kelly today. I think by the end of the day, Kollie will know where he's going for sure. I doubt he skips the early signing period.

RB Logan Diggs: Nothing too notable at this time but I'm told things are positive for Notre Dame today after a rocky Monday in which he wasn't fired up that the Irish offered Audric Estime. ND is still fighting to hold on here but it's anyone's guess at this point. It's not off the table that he skips early signing period.

RB Donovan Edwards: Doubtful for ND. Georgia seems to be a popular pick, but I don't know.

RB Audric Estime: Taking time with his family today to talk through options. There are other suitors in the recruitment, but he likes Notre Dame the most and it's not close. He'd like to wait until Feb. to sign so he can see ND before committing, but it's also appealing to him to just lock it in and sign this week.

•On Trey Wertz: “My goal yesterday and today was to get him in a white shirt more. We’ve been doing that anyway over the last couple weeks because we felt this was trending in the right direction. The finality will be sometime tomorrow...I told him to be mentally ready to play.”

•Not sure when the NCAA Division I Council will wrap up its vote and announce it, but it helps ND to have a 9 pm tip in case it takes a while, as these things sometimes do. Brey: “The momentum I’m hearing is that the odds are good.”

•More on Carmody's rehab: “I’m so encouraged. He’s really lean. He’s lost 20 pounds. He got heavy after the fracture of the kneecap. Rightfully so, he couldn’t work out and exercise. He’s still not able to really run and burn a lot of calories. But he completely changed his diet. He looks great. He’s not on crutches anymore.

•On Matt Zona: “He knows who he is. He rebounds, sticks his nose in there, screens for people. There’s a toughness about him. He’s not afraid of the big moments. Ohio State game, Kentucky game, he’s just battling. It does give us another front-line body for Juwan or Nate we have to keep developing. I’m very confident in him.”

Daelin Hayes on Trevor Lawrence: You can't put a price on experience. He has a great amount and and underrated runner. He brings a lot.
