Football Big boards and mock drafts: NFL projections for Notre Dame players

I gathered six big boards and six mock drafts, including four seven-rounders, to get a sense for when Notre Dame's players may get drafted. Eight players appeared in more than one mock draft.

Jeff Faine becomes Notre Dame Monogram Club president

Former Notre Dame offensive lineman Jeff Faine (1999-2003) began his two-year term as Monogram Club president this month. He spent the last two years as vice president under former women's soccer player Kate Markgraf.

Recruiting Update: 2025 OT Jack Lange commits to Missouri

Jack Lange, a four-star offensive tackle from Eureka (Mo.) HIgh, plans to announce his commitment decision on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT. I've put in a Rivals FutureCast prediction for the 2025 target to pick Missouri.

As previously covered in The Heat Index, Lange was downgraded to a Mild heat rating. He fell off the track he needed to follow in recent months in order for Lange and Notre Dame to be a match.

Notre Dame's turned its focus at offensive tackle to Josh Petty.

Basketball Update | WBB: Reserve guard KK Bransford exits transfer portal, will return to Notre Dame

UPDATE (4/23): KK Bransford has exited the transfer portal and will stay at Notre Dame. Head coach Niele Ivey told reporters this tonight following the team's awards ceremony.

----------

PREVIOUSLY (4/7):

Not a huge surprise here, given all the guard depth Notre Dame will have if everyone's healthy next season. Again, I've been expecting good news eventually on forward Maddy Westbeld's decision on whether to come back for a fifth year, and that hasn't changed. The portal opened for WBB on March 18 and will remain so until May 1.

Portal Question

Do coaches call players into their office who they don't see as contributors now or in the future and "strongly" encourage them to enter the portal? Or do the coaches wait for the player to visit their office because the player isn't sure how he's viewed and then give the player a brutally honest answer of where they stand and let the player figure out what they want to do? Or is it a little of both? I assume there are some uncomfortable discussions between players and coaches going on this week in this regard.

Basketball WBB: Notre Dame Award Winners: Citron, Hidalgo share MVP honors

I attended the Notre Dame women's basketball ceremony at Purcell Pavilion tonight. The big news was KK Bransford's decision to exit the transfer portal right where she entered it -- returning to ND. There were also some awards given out, and I'll share them now. In the morning, I'll have a notebook getting Maddy Westbeld's insight into her decision to return next season, Hannah Hidalgo's experience in playing with Olivia Miles and more. For now, the award winners:

Co-MVPs: Sonia Citron and Hannah Hidalgo
Woody Miller Award: Hannah Hidalgo
Defensive Player of the Year: Hannah Hidalgo
Most Improved Player: Maddy Westbeld
Student-Athlete of the Year: Sarah Cernugel
Most Spirited Award: Cass Prosper and Sarah Cernugel

I know Jenna Brown didn't play much, but she gave a helluva senior speech. I was impressed.

Both Kylee Watson (ACL surgery) and KK Bransford (lingering soreness) attended the event on crutches. Bransford's left foot was in a protective boot.

Recruiting Tradition makes Notre Dame stand out for 2026 S Jermaine Santana-Diaz

Jermaine Santana-Diaz said his campus tour at Notre Dame set the standard for other schools.

“I went to A&M and the guy that gave me the tour on campus was like, ‘We carry a pretty big tradition,’” Santana-Diaz said. “But I look at how their tradition is, and I look at Notre Dame, and Notre Dame is the tradition.

“I look at A&M and they’re rebuilding stuff and making it look new. At Notre Dame, obviously they’re making stuff look better, but they’re making it look the same. Small stuff like that stands out to me.
