Basketball WBB: Notre Dame recruit Leah Macy makes Team USA’s 2024 U18 National Team

Notre Dame women’s basketball recruit Leah Macy made Team USA’s U18 National Team that will compete at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup from June 17-23 in Bucaramanga, Colombia.

The 12-member team announced this weekend following three days of trials in Colorado Springs, Colo., also included ND recruiting target ZaKiyah Johnson, a five-star guard in the 2025 class from Louisville, Ky.

Notre Dame head coach Niele Ivey is serving as an assistant coach for the team under Indiana’s Teri Moren, the team’s head coach.

Macy is a 6-3 five-star forward in the 2025 class from Elizabethtown, Ky. She announced her verbal commitment to Notre Dame on May 6 and plans to make it official during the early signing period in November.

Recruiting New 2026 WR offer in Virginia

Connor Salmin, a 2026 wide receiver at Purcellville (Va.) Woodgrove, reported an offer from Notre Dame on Wednesday.

Salmin caught 53 passes for 1,107 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore last season. He also intercepted four passes and made 29 tackles as a defensive back.

His offer list includes Georgia, Penn State, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Salmin ran the 100-meter dash in 10.78 seconds and 200-meter dash in 21.31 seconds this spring.

Basketball MBB: New 2025 offer to SF Ryder Frost

Ryder Frost, a 2025 small forward at Exeter Phillips Exteter Academy in New Hampshire, reported a Notre Dame offer Tuesday.

Frost has been a hot commodity with offers from Syracuse, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wake Forest, NC State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame in the last two two days.

Frost averaged 21.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game as a 44% shooter from 3. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Frost plays on the AAU circuit for Middlesex Magic, the same program that produced former Notre Dame players Pat Connaughton and Dom Campbell.

Recruiting Rivals Camp Clips: 2027 QB prospect Trae Taylor

Notre Dame hasn't offered 2027 quarterback prospect Trae Taylor at this point, but the freshman at Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel Catholic has already visited the Irish three times. Taylor has a dozen offers to date, including Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Miami and Purdue.

Recruiting Updates from Rivals Camp in Indianapolis

Good morning from Decatur Central High School, where the Rivals Camp Series is making its last regional stop in Indianapolis.

We're expecting a number of Notre Dame targets and prospects in attendance today.

The linemen are first up this morning, and they're getting warmed up now.

2025 DE commit Christopher Burgess Jr. is here. He already has an invite to the Rivals Five Star event in late June, but he still wanted to get out here to compete.

Basketball MBB: Lehigh forward Burke Chebuhar commits to transfer to Notre Dame

Burke Chebuhar, a 6-8, 230-pound forward from Lehigh, has committed to Notre Dame. The Irish have added him as a scholarship graduate transfer. Chebuhar scored 7.5 points and grabbed 5.0 rebounds per game last season. He visited Notre Dame last Friday.
