Hard 2 win when the team across from you cheated to get to this game, and are probably still stealing signals in this game. How about the refs not calling a plethora of holding penalties. I guess it’s ok to let a cheater play, but not for an undefeated 13-0 team in the final four.What happens if they are found guilty of all signal stealing? Do they have games taken away, including this game. Asterisk time, which denotes CHEATING. Go Irish

Looks like michigans SIGNAL STEALING GAME is on point so far. It would be better if michigan looses, because the investigation might take away games including this one. This is just another cheating scandal that college sports don’t seem to be able to shake. I think Jim Jim is done at micheegan win or loose. Go Irish

Watching Bama run all over Georgia early. It is early. But still. Rees has got it going on. Much to my surprise. He may not be able to outrun a South Bend cop, but he seems to know a thing or two about running a power offense. Hat off to the kid.

Well, Freeman did not go outside his comfort zone, and that's OK. He is learning on the job and Denbrock is a solid hire. Now he has two coordinators who want to be head coaches. Enjoy them while ya got 'em. Freeman appears to have tapped out the few guys he's coached with. Next round will probably be less comfortable. More important, he has significantly improved his chances of having a next round. Now, recruit and coach as we all hope you can.

Lifelong Irish fan and member of this board for over 20 years. I hate even having to post this as it's not in my nature to ask for anything. My wife is currently battling breast cancer and a good friend of mine started a GoFundMe for us. In a post on X/Twitter Saturday, Notre Dame 2025 safety target Ethan Long announced he will make his college commitment on Monday at 5 p.m. EST.

Long's finalists are Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin. Per Rivals, Long is the No. 27 safety and No. 1 player in Connecticut for the 2025 recruiting class.

Notre Dame has hosted Long four different times as a recruit, including for July's Grill & Chill recruiting event and the Ohio State game in September. Long grew up attending ND home games from 2014-18 to watch his cousin, former walk-on wide receiver and Notre Dame team captain Austin Webster.

Why have bowl games anymore, half the players are opting out , hitting the portal or just don’t care unless they are playing for the championship. I am surprised players aren’t asking to get paid to play in the bowl or they will sit till next year. If winning on the field fairly, playing a fairly tough schedule and going undefeated doesn’t get you into the championship game, why play. I also believe the cowards on the committee should SAC UP and show us who they voted for. Go Irish

These guys all were listed as very college-ready linebackers coming into ND. They had great size and instincts and were all physically aggressive players. In the first two cases, Golden moved them to new positions foreign to them and were forced to gain a bunch of weight and learn new positions. At the same time, there is now a concern regarding game-ready linebackers on this roster?? Golden might be a great x's and o's coach, but he has odd ideas regarding personnel fits. IMO, he has wasted Junior at a position at which he will never be a good fit. He was recruited specifically as a middle linebacker in that class. At the same time, Golden already has Burnham moving to big end which means more weight gain and another one or two years of getting bigger?? The kid looked like he was going to be a very high end Will linebacker. Now, Golden is trying to fit Sneed (a smaller but faster version of Marist) into the Will position and he just lacks the instincts to play there while he has his smartest most instinctive inside linebacker (Kiser) on the bench for much of the game? Sneed fits the Rover position perfectly and Kiser is a great fit at Will. IMO, he's forcing the proverbial square pegs into round holes.

2025 four-star defensive end Christopher Burgess has committed to Notre Dame and head coach Marcus Freeman.

"Burgess is a great pickup for the Irish," national recruiting analyst Greg Smith said. "He’s one of the top defenders in the region for his class for good reason. His size (6-foot-4, 240 pounds) and speed combination allow him to be a versatile piece on the line. He’s twitchy enough to play off the edge but his frame would allow him to add more mass and play on the interior of the line. He plays with a high motor and could be a multi-year starter in South Bend."
