Recruiting 2023 WR Calls Notre Dame Offer 'A Dream'

Recently, Notre Dame offered Jalen Brown, a 6-0, 155-pound cornerback from Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep that the Irish staff is recruiting as a wide receiver. He is a very intriguing prospect and had a lot to say about Notre Dame and his offer, here:

Recruiting Billy Schrauth talks Top 4

Connected with Wisc. 2022 OL/DL Billy Schrauth this week. We discussed his top four, including how Notre Dame got off to such a strong start, but also talked about his decision timeframe, what position he may play in college and how he is handling a fall without football. That article is linked below:

Really good look at Kyren's blocking game

I know this has been discussed a lot this week, how Kyren Williams owned Clemson as a blitz killer. But I actually came across this video today, which is a blocking highlight reel (don't see those often). Man is it beautiful to watch. It really shows how much different the game would have gone if KW wasn't as effective as he was. Login to view embedded media

Recruiting Lucky Charms: 2022 DL Cutting Down List; More Notre Dame-Clemson Reaction

Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** Sun Prairie (Wis.) High class of 2022 defensive lineman Isaac Hamm has eight scholarship offers to this point, and he plans to cut his list in half on Friday. The Fighting Irish offered Hamm in October, and he raved about the offer. I like where Notre Dame is at in the recruitment, but you have to think Wisconsin has the lead. Both Notre Dame and Wisconsin are all but guaranteed to make his top group. Penn State looks to be a pretty safe bet too.

*** Apopka (Fla.) High class of 2022 cornerback Nikai Martinez posted a top 12 schools list over the weekend. Notre Dame made the cut along with Auburn, Georgia Tech, Florida, Georgia, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Florida, Clemson, Arkansas, Tennessee and Maryland. I suspect he won't go very far for college, but if he does, the Fighting Irish have a great shot. He visited for a game last fall from Florida, showing his high interest in Notre Dame.

*** I've received more recruit reaction in the past couple of days from Notre Dame's win over Clemson that I wanted to share.. Remember, part of what I asked the recruits is if the win changed how they felt at all about Notre Dame.

2022 QB Gavin Wimsatt: "It doesn’t really change how I feel about them but it gives me a lot of comfort knowing that they are capable of big things and know what they’re doing."

2022 DB Toriano Pride: "They played great as a unit and as a team. You can tell that they have been working all offseason for this, and it shows on the field. If they can keep it up I can most definitely see them making it very far."

2022 LB Joshua Burnham: "Notre Dame has definitely done an amazing job communicating with me and making me feel like family. They are an amazing program, and I can't wait to get down there for a visit."

(I don't think Burnham understood the question correctly, but hey, the answer still sounds good for Notre Dame.)

2021 WR commit Jayden Thomas: "It was crazy. The vibe in South Bend was lit."

Kyren Williams Vs Travis Etienne

Does anyone else think it’s weird how Etienne is a heisman candidate when Williams is averaging more YPC, has more rushing yards on the season, is a better pass blocker and there is no heisman talk about him? I get it Etienne better on the receiving end but in the big game he didn’t show up at all and Williams did. I’m not saying Williams is a heisman but I think the way he showed up in a big game and doesn’t get any talk about it is just baffling, he just completely out performed Etienne in every aspect. I don’t know, what does everyone else think?

Notre Dame had two players test positive between Nov. 3 and Sunday, the team announced Monday night, and are in 10-day isolation. Two others were identified as close contacts and placed into 14-day quarantine. None of them were at Saturday's 47-40 win over Clemson. The team administered 258 tests in that span.

Football Ian Book’s March Toward School Records Gets Perception Boost At Ideal Time

Book had his biggest game when Notre Dame needed it most, but the timing with Phil Jurkovec and all the potential for fan angst there up next sure didn't hurt either. A winner became a Winner Saturday and that ought to put to rest some clamoring. On making a legacy feel more meaningful:
