Another year...same old, same old ineffective QB

Physically unable to? Where have we seen that before? The last two starting QB's would struggle hitting 50 yards and Riley this year is keeping up that tradition.

calling offense afraid of failure. Afraid of any risks as we dare not have any big plays.

Please ...oh please FIRE any coach that has to do with the receiving group.

Pocket breaks down, QB bails...and our receivers standing there spectating. Nobody running their man off...and god forbid get behind the defense for a big play.
We never want that.

Coaching part 3....
Just because someone bears the title of "coach" doesn't mean they're any good and in our case has any idea what the hell to do.

Riley was bad at Duke. He escaped with a couple nice wins that Elko helped along the way but he was nothing special.

NIL!!!
Could it be that since someone decided to give Riley the world for selling shaving cream or some weird thing that is the driving force behind the decision to start him?

Is NIL running the program nowadays?

If Riley is really the #1 QB on the roster then that really explains the current and continued state of the program.

This team will go as far as those silly terrified of failure 3 yard out routes will take us.

Usually a good OL, backs, and TEs...so smash mouth seems the natural and smart choice, run 1st, with some mixing up to keep defenses honest.

Exactly. And if you want to "practice the passing game," do it after you're up 35-10 in the 2nd half, for example. But first, put the game away doing what you do best. And it's very clear this team runs the ball better than it passes the ball, at least at this point in the season.

I just think back to 1977. Like him or not, DEVINE was an extremely experienced head coach with both college and professional knowledge, yet even after coaching MONTANA for two full seasons And start of #3 he still had him at #3 on depth chart. And the ONLY REASON he got in at PURDUE was injuries to #1,2. So I would SAY 90% of Fan base KNEW MONTANA was better. Yet the coaches did not. WHY? I have NO F’ING CLUE !!!!! But this is bordering on that. I actually believe MINCHEY might be the guy. Give Angeli one half and depending on game circumstances MINCHEY 2nd half.
See what they can do. But REMEMBER EVEN at Clemson a seasoned winner was replaced in game three? With a Freshman And went on to win NC.
Sometimes coaching assessments are wrong. The good coach has a confidence to accept his ERRORS and try to make POSITIVE ADJUSTMENTS. Certainly without adjustments this team is 8-4 and that might be optimistic.
One or two players can change the WHOLE TRAJECTORY of the SEASON.
As bad as we played at QB, O line, play calling, defense miscues, turnovers, etc. put Brandon AUBREY on this team and we are 2-0.
One player addition can make the difference.
Very disappointed in current team play.
So let’s see what adjustments, if any, are made.

Sounds like you're VENDETTA-MINDED. Somehow, the man has deeply offended you.

There's really a more NUANCED VERSION of this situation and of Kelly in general. But far be it from me to try to talk you down from your RANCOR. You apparently want to hold on to the BAD FEELING.

All I can say is, if it makes you happy, CLUTCH IT FOR ALL THAT IT'S WORTH to you.
