Leonard , Greathouse and Freeman are done.

That's irrational. It's not going to happen and you know that. Quite silly actually. It's not how the business works. An absolute gut wrenching loss for sure but no one is getting fired after week two based on game results .
I know it's not going to happen, but fans and the media should be calling for it (until or unless he gives everyone a reason not to). That's how you get someone to be let go at season end. It's how ND was able to get rid of willingham and Weis. Everyone was calling for it most of their last year and especially at the end when the folded. Freeman folded game 2.

Leonard , Greathouse and Freeman are done.

Oh yes, everyone on here knows that. How terribly unprepared we were for Louisville AND clemson with awesome environments was enough. Now, i gave him credit for landing denbrock and bringing in what I thought was some good WR portal players and possibly a good QB. Not close to good enough, the problem is freeman is still here.

I wanted freeman gone after FSU 2021 because the defense was so unprepared for that game, and freeman had no clue how to adjust, freeman had to step in and tell him what to do (stop dropping foskey into pass coverage). The defense is typically way ahead of the offense game 1, our D in 2021 was so far behind. Kelly stepped in and had him change the D he developed and coached for 9 months because it was moronic.
Pretty sure Marcus Freeman's discarded toe nail clippings know significantly more about defensive football then you'll ever hope to. Your trades are just that. Yes they lost and we all hate it. Ten more games to go. Players and coaches don't have the luxury of pissing and moaning all week after a loss. Time to get back to work. In 1989 at MSU we lost 4 of our first 6 games by a total of 21 points. Three of the losses were to top 5 teams. We didn't whine but kept working and ended the season winning 6 in a row. Two choices.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it probably is a duck

Bahaha, how the narrative changes…

Oh…wait…it’s about money? So F+ doesn’t count? And losing to Nebraska?

Lol, I do enjoy exposing you repeatedly and then watching you use your other handles to come to your rescue. So money and recognition? Then why do you 💩 on ND? They make plenty of money. They get highest ratings. They have celebs all over. The SB economy absolutely kills it on football weekends …

In case you missed it, all those HOF coaches aren’t improving the team. All 3 Sanders are leaving this year …
Colorado was one of the worst P4 programs in college football prior to Deion Sanders arrival. Since he got there, everything over there is ascending.

ND and Colorado are two very different programs on two very different ends of the spectrum with two very different levels of resources tradition brand etc I don't hold them to the same standard as a result.

Colorado winning a handful of football games and selling out their stadium is a success at Colorado given where that program is in college football

At Notre Dame it's national title or bust

Leonard , Greathouse and Freeman are done.

Freeman should be let go can not be said enough… it should be stated in every thread, every angle possible

Another year...same old, same old ineffective QB

I think if we played Texas or Georgia we would find out the defense is not championship caliber. Playoff caliber perhaps.
A&M showed our young lbs got a little confused in coverage with split outs. NIU exploited it.

A&M showed we don't have a SDE, NIU exploited it. They pulled 2 linemen to the Strong side over and over and over and over again, and golden never adjusted. Burnham is not a SDE, he's a WDE but we have 2 better players there. THE SDE needs to push or hold off the RT into the pulling linemen to shrink the hole and room they have to pull and block. Instead, he was getting pushed back letting NIU linemen have a hole and free run at our LBs. We had the issue some last year with JJB because he was more pass rusher than run stuffer, but he was better than Burnham or Oben.

Our secondary is as good as it gets, and golden is smart enough to confuse a QB. NIU found a weakness, and Golden, freeman had no adjustment for it. The fact the staff thought oben and burnham could hold up at SDE is alarming, and had no plan B if they get destroyed, like they have been. Vernon, young, or someone needs to hold up the edge there. We aren't getting any pass rush so they can do what everyone else does and actually have a big strong SDE.

Leonard , Greathouse and Freeman are done.

Did you want him fired prior to this season, after the 2023 season had concluded?

Post game presser.

Maybe Freeman should get pissed off like BK at a press conference.
I would just prefer freeman have a clue at what's going on good or bad. I don't care if he's pissed off or not in front of the media. But he even stated he has no clue. That's not acceptable. WE ALL ARMCHAIR COACHES can see it clearly.

This is like Buchner in 2022, everyone could see he couldn't throw the ball but Freeman and Rees. Everyone can see Riley can't throw it but Freeman and Denbrock. The common one is Freeman.

It's also clear they're playing WDE as a SDE and it's getting our run D crushed due to A&M pulling some at the SDE, and NIU pulling a ton towards the SDE. Burnham and Oben can NOT play SDE and set/push/crash the edge. Burnham ran a play down or two, but he got abused vs NIU.

@NDinNJ
The QB position got ruined under Kelly by allowing Book to stay on for 17 years.
Then I said over the prevuous two years that playing this portal game is ridiculously stupid.
Freemqm might be doing better than Kelly in some areas but he's definitely mimicking BK on how to choose and stay with the wrong QB.

I also said two years ago the best QB on the roster was Angeli.
#1 he was the only QB at the time with real QB height.
#2 his running ability or lack of will make us a better team because he will throw the ball down the field.
#3 This whole thing is so irritating...I can't help but think NIL is a force in this.
I knew you couldn’t go a post or two without blaming Kelly somehow lol

The question that needs an answer

I don't think it is.

The throws are horrible. Would you be shocked to find out he's injured? I wouldn't. That 2nd INT was under thrown by 10 yards.
They ran him like crazy first drive of the game. If his hand was injured they would not have done that.

He threw the ball last week like he did vs A&M, terrible. That's how he also threw it in 2023 at duke. I was hopeful 2023 was a fluke due to his foot injury and lack of talent at duke. It wasn't, he's a terrible passer, and even worse at reading defenses and understanding route concepts.

If he had a hand injury impacting his throwing he shouldn't have played, or at minimum benched at half time.

If he had a hand injury and was played, freeman an the entire offensive staff should be terminated with cause immediately. I know freeman isn't going to get fired in season, despite the fact we have a better HC standing next to him. But again, if leonard played the whole game with a hand impacting his throwing, yes he shouldn't be giving a PC today at noon, Pete should be announcing Golden as interim HC, and they will immediately begin the search for the next coach that will most likely not finish until college football season is over.

He didn't under throw that pass by 10 yards, it was underthrown by 15-20 yds. Mitchell had to come to a compete stop and it still was short of him. 10 yds further and it isn't picked, 15-20 yds further and it's a td, and i'm not so disappointed at the fraud we have as a HC.

Where's Golson5?

The "fire Freeman" stuff is just silly.

Does anyone think Bevacqua would make waves like this his first year and fire the football coach? I don't.

Even at 9-3, I think Freeman is back for 25. And I'm good with that.
It's not silly because it's unlikely to happen. It should happen. He's been awful in 21, 22, 23, and now 24. He's awesome when the season isn't being played from January - July. But he is absolutely clueless as a coach on how to run a team. He can get the team fired up and locked in for One, maybe 2 games a year. That's his MO. We're 2-2 in those games, one of the losses due to his coaching blunders.

Another year...same old, same old ineffective QB

Riley Leonard's numbers weren't that great at Duke, barely a 60% completion rate, 12 interceptions to 24 TD's, and 7 yards per pass tells you he doesn't have a strong arm. Not sure where all this hype came from, but Riley Leonard is not a 1st round NFL. draft pick.
RL was terrible. Any QB can inflate completion % by throwing 2/3 yard passes. You need a deep threat & big arm to keep defenses honest. I don’t want see that Duke player again. Empty the bench.
