That’s not realistic, and you know that. Conference champs deserve to be in.
Disagree that Conf Champs automatically deserve to be in. Hell, we’re talking about selecting the top 12 teams to participate in a playoff, and conference champs will almost always be among this group. But if not, they don’t deserve to be there.

Golson, who was a tougher game for Notre Dame IU or SC?

If USC came into ND stadium with us on 3 weeks of rest in that environment in that weather we would have curb stomped them by at least 28

There is evidence to determine who was better. It's called a football season

11 and 1 vs 6 and 6 in the same conference with 5 common opps where Indiana was much better against

You have no argument. You can't win. It's impossible
All true, but the question is which team, IU or USC, played ND better? I think the answer is USC.

If Tenn played in the SEC…

100% Oregon and Ohio State got shafted. I get an automatic qualifying setup. But it was dead wrong to place teams without some consideration for ranking and conference distribution.

FIFA does this right for soccer World Cup seedings and distribution. Ok, ranking itself is never perfect. Europe for example is much better than Asia and upper Americas. But you have to have some inclusivity. More European teams rightfully get in on...but once in, teams are pretty balanced, except 1 group of death...where you might get 2 strong and 2 good teams.

But no way should Oregon and Ohio State be in a path of death in this kind of setup. At least not until semis. The CFP committee will learn. They will get better at this.
Agreed, the whole seeding thing was just sort of weird from the start. Getting a first round bye was not, at least in principle, that was at least arguable. That there's some reward for winning your conference. But if that's the price you're going to pay, an absurdly premature matchup of the two best teams in the country in only the 2nd round, or you might even say the 2nd part of the 1st round, then you might need to reconsider it.

I don't know if FIFA is a good model to follow, don't they do like a lottery, and they just draw names out of a hat? Yeah, it's weighted, so you don't get Brazil, Germany, England and Italy in the same group. And you actually could get all those teams in the same group, depending on where they finished in their qualifying groups. If I understand correctly, maybe I don't. But it's pretty easy to seed 12 games in a tolerably competitive fashion. Super easy in fact. The tricky part is the first round bye, and if you think that should be reserved for conference champs. And maybe you could re-seed them after the first weekend is in the books.

Rylie Mills

Hearing....from who lol

The person who said we wearing black jerseys ?
I hope so lol.

Just hearing subtle rumors on different boards. No one is coming out and saying it though. If we can stop the run without mills I think we can win this game without him.

We gonna need some beef up front. Is cross and Rubio enough ? Mills didn’t play every snap early on against Indiana and we did fine vs their run game.
Hinish , Mukam ??? Idk.

I really and optimistic hoping that sevianno can get some reps , is he hurt also ? Have t seen him in the game since week 1 vs atm.
I heard playoff games don’t count toward redshirts. Thoughts. ??

Why isn't MFs success netting more blue chip interest?

One thing there is to say about recruiting, in this case the transfer portal, what's up with our transfer portal efforts? If we beat UGA and have to wait two more weeks, all the good players will be gone, if they aren't allready. Are we to think that ND already has silent commits for all the various players we're going to get? And if so, did we have to tamper to do it, which IMO is fine. If it's okay with the SCOTUS, it's okay with me.

you are not capable of admitting when you are wrong,

There is no way Indiana was a harder game than SC,

At no time in the Indiana game Was the game ever in doubt. Against SC the game was definitely in doubt.

You are the only one on this board that believes Indiana was the harder game.

There is no way to prove who is better Indiana or SC but there is no doubt who played Notre Dame better.

Is there not a single five-star prospect out there that wants to play for this emerging program?

It just sucks to see that Notre Dame is still gaining no traction with the top flight prospects in the sport even with all of the momentum with the team's 11 game winning streak

Rumor has it this 2026 class might be one of the worst in the last 5 years
To you they are not.

But they have real 5 stars on the field. Just because the service told you so doesn't make it true

Lane Kiffin continues his complaining

There is a reason #8 Ohio State is favored in Las Vegas over #1 Oregon.

There’s no better conference in all of CFB than the SEC, IMO.

SMU IMO had zero business in the CFB playoff, and based on what I watched, Indiana did not either.

Alabama, South Carolina, or Mississippi would have been better teams, IMO.
Yeah they should have been over that shit SEC team Tenn

What a joke of a team. Beat up on a shit conf and shouldn't have been in the cfp
